we were here in july 1994 and again in july 2014. Amed of course has changed a lot but the hotel itself is a disappointment. The rooms have been well renovated and are in fine shape. The welcome drink is still there. But the warmth of the service from olden days is missing - it can still be found elsewhere...

My wife and I stayed there for our honeymoon. Amed is a little difficult to get to because of the roads but well worth it. It is the much quieter side of Bali that helps you to relax. The cottage was large and well maintained. The grounds are gorgeous with a lovely pool just around 20 yards/meters from the beach....

We had a very nice clean room with 2 3/4 beds pushed together, a little uncomfortable. The gardens and pool are very nice but the restaurant was just OK. The bay is beautiful, with the best coral and fish at the eastern end. Nice place for couples or families.

Stayed here 4 nights. Inexpensive, but not our kind of place, even though the Lipah area is quite nice. Bungalows are very dark. Sheets not changed every second day as promised. Aircon seriously underdimensioned so be prepared for some hot nights. Outdoor bathroom was nice, though, as was the hotel beach which had decent snorkeling. Breakfast was a la carte,...

We stayed here for 3 nights it was my first time to Amed. We had great cottage in the middle of complex. We hired snorkel, goggles and fins from the beach when we arrived and was able to snorkle straight from the front of the hotel the afternoon we arrived. The pool is small but was nice and shady it...

The hotel staff was super attentive and friendly. The rooms are cozy and clean, with a nice bathroom. The pool was not very clean and smaller than it looked on photo's. There is a beach, but as soon as you step on the sand you'll try to get hassled by people offering massages, beach chairs and snorkel gear. The hotel...

This was my favourite place in Bali. We have stayed in Coral View before but I prefer Hidden Paradise. Two main reasons why I prefer this hotel is that the food is much better and there is very good snorkelling right out the front...no need to pick your way through the fishing boats. I really enjoyed breakfast here as they...

First of all, I would have to say that I arrived having stayed at some beautiful hotels in very peaceful settings and with lovely outdoor bathrooms, great food etc - so perspective different than if comparing with a western style hotel in Kuta or Sanur. Positives: - good value - quiet setting and hotel, very peaceful - lovely pool (small...

The restaurant right in the beach, serves yummie jndonesian and Western dishes. The cottages (AC)are a dream of...
