Stayed for 4 days. Went to the gilis then returned. Lovely little bungalows with good wifi, lush gardens and a cute little infinity pool. Safety deposit box, hairdryer, good A.C. comfortable beds, fridge, Tea/coffee making facilities. Open air bathroom. ( completely private of course) with free shampoo, conditioner etc, clean rooms and good housekeeping daily. Bungalows are in the Indonesian style. Unlimited free water in the rooms from a machine so no plastic waste ( i like it) breakfast was lovely, freshly cut bread, eggs to order however you want them, fresh juice, fruit, omelettes. Room service is Available at no extra charge and a nice little touch is that when you wake there is a tray on your patio with tea and coffee and hot thermos waiting for you. Lovely, lovely staff from the gardeners, cleaners, reception and kitchen. The owner is Etienne and the manager Alex, both french but speak good english. They were both lovely, sociable and we had a great laugh with them. Etienne helped us to organise our visa via an agent at singaraja and also helped with a taxi to singaraja for 500.000 irp. Restaurant was very nice in the evening and beer was cheap. A nice mix of Indonesian and western options. We were not dissapointed with anything we ate there. Located 15 mins walk from the ferry terminal at jemeluk beach, good snorkeling spot, we thought. This port is the gateway to the gili islands and north lombok. 200 irp. Per person, one way. Good supermarket 50 yds down . They recommend 'Bali Beauty' a massage salon 100yds down. It was so, so good and so cheap. We went 4 times between the two of us. The place is wall to wall dive schools, although we dont dive I would recommend this lovely little town and thoroughly recommend 'THE OASIS AMED'…
Well were do I start...firstly we booked our room for 5 weeks wish we could of stayed longer. We had twin room. The room was large . It had kettle and tea and coffee. Unlimited bottle water. Fridge Safe . Beds were comfortable. Fantastic aircon and also ceiling fans. Room looked as it hadn’t be long since painted. Our rooms were cleaned every day and our beds were changed every day Really lovely Bathroom is and open air one it was huge. Plenty of hot water and really good pressure Toilet worked well. Why I say that is because we have stayed in a few places and they don’t work Every morning you are bought a tray with tea and coffee plus boiling water in a thermos to your balcony which I thought was lovely . So if your up early and the other person isn’t you can sit on balcony enjoy your cup of coffee with out disturbing the other person. Great free wifi The pool was lovely and plenty of chairs around to lay on. Plenty of pool towels also The gardens were beautiful just feel sorry that while we were there we only seen rain twice and Amed needs so much rain it is very dry. But at hotel they were watering every day to keep gardens green. The new manager Alex was very nice. He would alway stop and ask if everything was okay and if we ever needed anything it was not a problem for him. He also would ask if we had any new ideas for the hotel. I think he will be a great manager. What we noticed with him he would stop and chat with all the guests. Alex would always be walking around making sure everything was looking good for guests The owner was a very nice man also and he would stop and talk to us often . The restaurant was great food that we had was lovely. Great chicken curry and fresh fruit platters were amazing. My husband loved the mixed omelette Staff were so lovely and nothing was a problem for them. Very helpful and kind. So thank you to everyone at Oasis for our amazing stay. We wish all of you a amazing Happy New Year and hope one day we will get to come back. Judy and Ray from Perth…
We had dinner the 2 nights the first time we had dinner there it was excellent, we had there spring rolls , and I had the fish and chips my husband had the lo Audi’s here everything was wonderful . The second night we ate there I ordered the pasta marinara what I got was a carbonara? When asked about this they said that was the marinara ? I thought it was a tomato sauce, even the manger question it, they still charged us for it, it was tasty but not wanted I wanted,
I slept in this hotel for about 3 weeks. Good food, very clean, good service, good location, quite and a cool swimming pool. The manager Etianne is a cool guy that can help figuring out trips and good restaurants! The hotel staff is friendly and polite and help you when needed
This little unassuming hotel is such good value. Great staff, close to everything you'll need. The pool may be small but its adequate for the number of rooms at the property. We would definitely recommend.
Staying at the Amed Oasis was very relaxing and comfortable. Perfect little spot. Excellent wifi, and since I arrived at 1 am my room was ready and waiting for me, best thing was since they knew I arrived at that hour. No one came knocking on the door in the morning, they let me sleep and make my way to reception when I was awake and refreshed. Definitely will stay again.
Located very central so good for beach, shops and restaurants. The facilities seem to be clean and well maintained but we didn't use anything other than the room and the restaurant area for breakfast. Restaurant has few options but we never ate here, think the menu will broaden when the season picks up? The garden area is nice and kept well. Etienne was also quick to answer any questions we had. Bed was nice and comfortable plus the AC worked well. Shower had lovely hot water but seems to be tanked up because the hot water runs out after a while. Hot water delivered to you early morning for your coffee. Safe in room provided. The interior deco could do with an update as flaky paint, wobbly toilet and the sink drainage were all problems while here (room 12b). The sink drainage pipes that separated were easily put back together but could do with fixing for other guests, forgot to mention this to staff as it was late when it happened then I was out early every morning. Breakfast minimal choices but when asking for a rice dish for my Asian girlfriend these were not available so had to go to another restaurant for her breakfast. …
The place itself is nice and close to the beach by walking distance, the staff is very friendly and willing to help. However, the whole stay and the level of the accommodation are disappointing for what you pay. I found ants in the room both days, the air conditioning was not working properly (with 30 degrees outside!!) and, when I went to the reception to flag it in the evening before going to bed, I found nobody so the problem couldn’t be addressed. I could only do it the morning after but it was upon check out, so too late. The pool is way too small and you can’t easily access it if you already find other people there, not enough space. Also, a dog bathing in the pool at night isn’t exactly the most hygienic thing in the world. Room 14 is very close to the street so it’s noisy from the early morning, try to avoid it. Also, the wooden rooms are very thin so you can hear everything from the rooms nearby. Overall disappointing.…
We spent in total 3 nights at the hotel and had a very good time. All in all the hotel was fine and close to the beach. The pool area is pretty small, but still a good place to relax. The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good. As the rooms were very basic, the price is from our pint of view slightly too high. Furthermore, the traffic from the street is pretty loud when you stay at one of the bungalows close to the entrance.
Spent 4 amazing nights at Oasis, Amed. Even though the place looks a little bit different from my imagination when I see them in photos, it’s still looking good anyway. The swimming pool is smaller than it seems, be ware. Upsides are: 1. There are tea and coffee delivered to your doorstep every morning. 2. Breakfast is very nice. 3. Wifi is very very good. 4. The staffs are very attentive, helpful, and friendly. They answered to all our requests. They helped arranged our motorbike rental and was kind enough to let us borrow it before we left. 5. They clean your room every morning. 6. There is a safe box in the room. 7. There is a welcome fruit juice the moment you check-in. Very refreshing, we were on a very long flight and car ride so it was a very nice touch. Downsides: 1. The room rate could’ve been cheaper. I’m not saying it’s not worth 60$=810,000IDR/per night (that’s how much the room was when i was staying) but for the hotel ambience, the room condition, 30$-40$ would’ve been ideal. Or maybe i was here during a high season or something. 2. Room 6 a/c is not very cold to my liking; but there’s a fan. 3. Water pressure. 4. Toilet sink keeps making noise. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Thank you Oasis Team. P.S: recommended breakfast: balinese or vegetable omelet, and water melon juice. …
