We needed a place close and good value while we did food distribution to a village close by for its old and disadvantaged residents. This place was just great. The pricing was excellent. The bungalows here with balconies and ensuites super comfy. No tv but good wifi. Stunning views and immaculste beautiful gardens. The food so good and breakfast included in your tariff. Please try. Atas Awan up there for sure.
I stayed with my brother and nephew we were check in after the waterfall weather is good food not really special but healthy they have yoga class with local instructor which quite good room is quite clean with traditional lumbung style--- garden around is good for walk and makes me interest to see the Indonesian flowers too-- I loo be the orchid arrangement at the reception went here from denpasar took us almost 2 hours but I enjoyed the road scenery and especially I can get best durian in Indonesia hahahaha
Love the view, especially in the morning .. It is surrounded by lush greens and mountains. Great scenery. Yet, not the best comfortable beds/room. Looks like it hasn't been clean for a long time when I checked in. Lots of bugs and dusts on the corner of the upper floor. Also the restaurant is good but not great. Took forever to get tomato sauce.
We came here once and came here again bringing our whole large Balinese family this time. Everybody love it here, kids love it here too! Atmosphere is fantastic, perfect for relaxation away from busy and hot south Bali. Fresh air, nature sounds, amazing view. Staff is very helpful and food is awesome, try curry,it's so tasty!!! We'll come again for longer stay next time for sure!
Atas Awan Retreat was my first ever Eco living experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room had a scenic view of the jungle and green rice terraces, and the free early morning yoga in nature was a soul refreshing experience. Highly recommended
I love this retreat! This spot is very insta worthy, stuff was super nice & helpful and our yoga teacher Vicky increadible and big proffesional. I m glad we stayed here and experience Bali from a little bit different side.
This was an amazing staying! Absolutely worth it! We were with my friends, we did free yoga class every day at 7 am, we made the trip to the waterfall, the views are incredible. The staff is lovely and helpful!
I got disappointed in Atas Awan, I expected much more from the place. The reasons of my disappointement are numerous : 1) the place is in the mountain and is freezing, there’s NO heater in the rooms! So the rooms are maybe 17 degrees. There’s no hairdryer either, I just couldn’t believe it when I was looking for the heater and there was none. I went to do massage in there “spa” at night, no heater either, I had to stop it before I got pneumonia 2) the yoga room is wide open to the fresh air, but when the air is that cold you just can’t enjoy the 7am class, I was wearing socks and poncho 3) the yoga classroom was dirty, I mean they give what 1 or 2 classes a day and it wasn’t possible the clean the wild dogs paw marks on the floor ( the yoga room has no door) 4) the food is pretty poor, but that’s a mountain hotel so I cannot be too angry for that, except maybe the breakfast “fruits”, one slice of mandarin, and one slice of dry watermelon. 5) the view isn’t on rice fields but on salads , so I had view on greenhouses plastic. 6) the staff simply doesn’t speak English. Like really, they don’t. We asked for two hour massages body and feet, we got 2 hours massage on body only (I felt asleep and woke up surprised they wouldn’t do feet... my body is still in pain). We ask for only 1 boil egg additional, they bring us a full breakfast with egg, we want to plan a day tour it takes us 30 minutes to be understood, etc... Cons: put heaters in the rooms, get english speaking staff or at least receptionnist…
Beautiful place but rooms are extremely humid and damp...pretty unbearable the smell of humidity. I woke up and realized that my pillow had mold marks! I talked to the host and they kindly offer to pay for last night dinner.
Wonderfull Location within the nature of Bali. Great view and friendly staff. Just their Restaurant is 3-6x expensiver than Bali average (maybe becaude its the only restaurant in the area), food is "just OK".
