Strawberry Hill's individual cabins incorporate features of a typical Indonesian mountain-style residence, such as wood floors, and wooden-clad walls. Each has a comfortable, colourful and cozy interior, a balcony facing one of Bedugul's dormant volcanoes, and its own en-suite bathroom complete with bathtub and plenty of hot water, for those unexpectedly cool high-altitude evenings. Our restaurant serves tasty Indonesian and international favourites, and on cool nights boasts Bali's only real log fire!

We ended up in this place for overnight sleep and it was under any expectation for a hotel. Room or better to say open cottage with roof had smell of humidity and strange smell of some kind of mold I don’t what it was. Room also don’t have air-con. Breakfast was disaster so I won’t even wast e time on it. I forget to mention noise from near by road it’s like sleeping on a road...

Well thank you! The one thing you mention that WILL be improved, is the humidity problem, which is due to the almost continuous rain that falls on Bedugul year in year out - we have just taken delivery of 17 brand new dehumidifiers, specially imported from China, one per cabin. Air-con will NOT be installed, as you would freeze, and as soon as it was turned off everything in the room would become wet! It would have helped us to understand what was wrong with breakfast, if you had only wasted some time telling us about it.

There is plenty to love about these cute little wooden cabins with relaxing outdoor patios and 360 degree windows. The staff is extremely friendly and although there isn't much to do due to the location there is a pool table and darts in the restaurant which closes at 10pm. The temps are much cooler as noted by previous reviews and there is a computer (rather slow) on the restaurant's second floor incase you need to check in. The food wasn't great, Had the veggie curry and banana fritters was my highlight and a very soggy apple pie my low light. Breakfast also basic but of course what it is known for are the strawberries which were certainly tasty!

I love it here, my favorite place. Things to not like........nothing. Things to like........everything! Strawberry Hill is an ideal overnight stop on a road trip to the north coast, the cool weather is a pleasant change from the heat and humidity along the coast. The cabins are beautiful, gardens exquisite, comfortable beds, plentiful breakfast, and superb views on a clear day, right across to Mt Agung.

Let us start with a bit of context. It was raining heavily when we visited so the view couldn't be appreciated. The cottage itself was fine but due to the rain, the bed felt damp. Dinner options are few since the hotel is situated between two roads and the quality of the hotelrestaurant is inadequate. Car noise goes on during the night. Everything was clean and looked sharp. The breakfast is brought to you in the morning and was good!

Thank you for taking the trouble to write us a considered review. The rain often does affect our guests' satisfaction, and this we know from long experience. We are constantly doing our best to minimise the effects of humidity, and lack of sunshine for days on end. We have heat lamps in all rooms, and we also rotate dehumidifiers around all rooms. It's really not an easy one to solve. Indeed dinner options in Bedugul are few. But our menu has been very carefully created, and is we feel appropriate to the size and type of property we have, and the clientele we serve. We will always be trying to improve it.
