Its first time in bali the hotel was beatiful, rooms comportable and Nice hotel view, staff very friendly, restaurant menu was great n indonesian food delicius Hope can coming back soon Nice experience Thank you..
The rooms are as spacious and well-decorated (we loved the Balinese art!) as everyone says. There are only a handful of villas here so you really do feel secluded, and the spectacular lake views really add to the feeling of serenity. But the food is so terrible. (I'm not a fussy eater but this really did taste unpleasant - I started to dread mealtimes.) We got the impression it was cooked by staff who don't really know how to cook. Even the included breakfast was bad - my eggs were rubbery - and the nasi goreng at dinner was so dry. Also, the wifi was very unreliable, so if you need wifi access for work you will be disappointed here. The place is not as luxurious as it perhaps used to be, but the views make it worth a visit. And the staff are really nice, too. So it's a mixed bag really.…
Tuesday 10th of September and this was the prearranged venue of our lunch stop on our Royal Lake and Sea Temples Tour, booked through the Tui Representative at our Hotel. On arrival our Guide informed us that the meal was a 3 course set menu, all included in the price of the tour, drinks we were an additional charge. We were led into a rather spacious and grand dining room with spectacular views out over Lake Bratan and the imposing mountains. It was a bit cloudy and the mountains were shrouded in places asking to an eerie feel to the scene. We were offered the opportunity to sit indoors or outside, we chose inside, some respite from the heat, it did not detract from our views of the swimming pool and the Lake and mountains. Our waitress informed us there was a choice of main courses, duck or crispy chicken, we both went for the chicken. The first course was a small bowl of corn soup, which was very tasty. The chicken leg was then served accompanied by 2 stay lollipops, prawn crackers and some vegetables along with relishes in small banana leaf dishes. The presentation was better than the chicken tasted. The dessert was a few slices of watermelon and papaya. Very grand restaurant, ok food and amazing views. The very good rating was more for the views rather than the food, which should have been average.…
When we landed here we sighed with relief. We were in Sanur, baking. Living at over 5,000 feet, this felt like home. It was absolutely luxurious and spacious. If we could’ve stayed a few nights here we would’ve.
In Bahasa we would call it "negeri di atas awan", that is how I would describe my enjoyable stay in this resort. The lake was up in the highland, with the land temperature of 19-21 degree Celcius during the daytime, so you would expect a misty/foggy all day long. WHICH I LOVE IT! The resort was secluded, surrounded by lush tropical jungle, and the villa I had has a direct access to the pier on the where the resort boat is tucked and ready for you to use (with an appointment, so they can prepare the safety jacket) The breakfast was ok, not extravagant, but the view from the restaurant is to die for! So it helps a lot. The service was attentive, few times we ask for this and that, and they are quite accommodative. They lend us a wifi router. The TV was an old TV though it is connected to a cable subscription - maybe they should consider upgrading this to new flatscreen TV perhaps. we bought our own portable speaker, so we prefer to listen to music all day long rather than watch TV.…
the place is in such a breathtaking location, the view is to die for . it is shame that you feel they dont take care of the place and left alone. the staff are trying are 100% best to accommodate you but the rooms are not that clean, the toilets re old, water leakage every where, there is not even shampoo in the huge bath rooms!! the restaurant seems ghost house, the view is beautiful but the food is not good the only food I recommend is fish which is fresh and ok but other food are not good at all. we stayed there for two nights and one of our main concern was where to eat as even the breakfast was not fresh!! You feel the place is left alone!!! although the place is really nice I dont recommend the place !
Villas are limited and all have beautiful views. It has huge bathtub enough for two. Everything is huge and spacious. Definitely worth staying for a night. Although the villa is old, it is still ok to stay in. Their food at resto is not bad too, we tried the satay which is good, grilled tuna, grilled fish, corn soup, and grilled banana.
Not worth your money. This is a luxurious hotel being abandoned. You’ll be greatly disappointed, at least we were. If you do decide to go, beware it gets cold there so come covered. And if you want a 400,000IDR massage (excessively expensive) you better reserve the day before...
Nothing was a problem. The staff were very accomodating, facilities were clean, fresh and of a high standard, nothing was a problem with Julie. The dining area is amazing and the food was good. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Our only regret was that we didnt stay longer. Would defineatly return and highly recommend to others, excellent and amazing value for money in a peaceful and picturesque location.
Located on Bratan Lake, with beautiful view, large bedroom with super bathroom, good restaurant with outside or inside seating. The hotel will arrange for free transportation to nearby attractions such as Bali Botanical Garden, recommended, or the Bedugul market. The best feature of the hotel may be the staff. Each of them is eager to be of assistance and to make the guest feel at ease. One suggestion: add a glass of Hatten wine to the beverages list.
