Love this Boutique resort. Second stay here in the last 2 months during Covid. For a relaxing few days away this is it. Staff are amazing, very willing to please. Rooms are tastefully decorated and ever so clean and well maintained. Overlooking the water with just 15 to 20 steps for a spectacular sunrise. Visit, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
Wayan, Gita and Ketut and the staff were amazing, the service was superb and the room was lovely and clean. 5 stars! My daughter and I adored our stay, the delicious food and beautiful grounds and pool and the incredible peacefulness of the environment.
My wife and I started our latest Bali holiday at Aashaya Jasri. We were looking for somewhere we had not visited before and for a venue for my wife to wind down from her stressful job. We could not have chosen a better place. After arriving fairly late at night we woke up and wandered around the resort before going to breakfast. Aashaya really is a boutique resort and takes about a whole five minutes to explore. We stayed in Villa Ombak which looks over the front garden, across the road and out to sea. After our first morning Wayan delivered us tea and coffee to have on our balcony at 0730 in the morning. What a wonderful way to start the day. On the first morning I ordered banana pancake a must do when in Bali. When our breakfast came my wife looked at my pancake and said how lucky I was to be able to eat this, being gluten intolerant. Wayan who was standing by our table chatting simply said hold on, disappeared into the kitchen and appeared with a bag of rice flour so guess what my wife had for breakfast on our remaining four days - yes you got it she was able to enjoy banana pancakes. The food overall in the restaurant is very good. Tea and coffee plentiful and the Bintangs served cold. The whole resort is special, the gardens are near perfect and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard. It is in a very quiet location with no warungs or bars close by. There are a number of places to visit during the day such as the Ujung Water Palace, Tirtta Ganga and the special restaurant Bali Asli. We hired a vehicle with a wonderful young local driver (Bagus) for two half days for 300k rupiah a day. He also took us to Ubud on our departure for 450k rupiah. All in all it was one of the most memorable places we have stayed in in Bali. Special mention must be made of Wayan who made our stay very special. Though I must mention that all the staff were very friendly and appeared to be happy to be working at Aashaya. Would I visit here again - in a flash.…
We booked 3 nights because sometimes the availability in Bali is difficult to find, but we were depending on the sea conditions for surfing in Jasri, so we choose an option wich you pay once your are there. When we arrived and checked that there were no waves, at the check in time we told them that we were staying only 2 nights, not the 3 we have booked...They obligated us to pay the 3 nights even knowing we were not staying and we had to pay when we checked in, when normally you pay when you check out...The place is beautiful and the staff very very nice because they tried to convince the owner for give the money back but she said no way. The room is ok but anyway is expensive, there are cheaper options and Closer to the beach.
Drove from Canggu to Jasri where Aashaya resort is.Two hours and thirty minutes but when you arrive it's worth every minute. A beautiful tranquil setting right on the ocean, the noise of the waves luls you to sleep. Everything about Aashaya is serene and elegant and conducive to switching off and recharging your batteries. Definately a must visit.
We just had our second stay at Aashaya Resort Jasri. Aashaya is a very comfortable and tastefully decorated small hotel. The staff are kind and helpful and will arrange transport to nearby places such as the white sand beach, Bali Asli Restaurant or the water palace. Jasri is a small fishing village, quiet and you'll have a chance to see the Balinese and their culture unfiltered. We went for some long walks, there's great photography opportunities and we really enjoyed our second stay.
We holiday in Bali every year and always try somewhere new but this is a place I will definitely come back to and recommend without hesitation. All the recent reviews are spot on - Aashaya's location, rooms, gardens, restaurant and staff are amazing. It is so peaceful and tranquil, the area has a wonderful energy as it's on the spiritual median from Besakih Temple (the Mother Temple of Bali) to the sea. So sorry to be missing the big ceremony on the 15th Sept - 10 thousand people will be making their way from Besakih Temple to Jasri beachfront (a once in every 10 years event) and they were decorating the road when we were there. There are some lovely walks through coconut groves, rice paddies, along the rocky beach or sea walk and of course the surf spot close by! We watched the fisherman come in every morning and of course the many ceremonies at the various small temples. All the other guests were at a nearby yoga/healing retreat so we practically had the place to ourselves! We stayed in the Seaview bungalow and it was awesome. We had the best massage ever in the bale with a gentle sea breeze and the sounds of the ocean crashing on the rocks. Narwini knew all the right spots to work on and I highly recommend her. This is a truly relaxing and beautiful place to stay. We take our own water drink bottles with us and you can refill them at the hotel. I would like to see the plastic straws replaced with bamboo/steel/glass ones and glass water jugs replacing the complimentary plastic water bottles in the room - my only complaint! A big Thank You for a wonderful experience! See you again :)…
I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It is small, rooms beautiful furnished, staff is wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and there was a menu to chose from and food came fresh. I also enjoyed the fresh fruit drinks after a day of site seeing. Also, recommend tour guide and driver and had an excellent massage (best ever). I highly recommend this small, unique hotel.
The staff at Aashaya Resort are genuinely friendly and warm. The room we stayed in was a traditional bungalow, which had a calm atmosphere and occasionally caught the cooling sea breeze. The food in the restaurant is cooked with love and care. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet street, although if you stay in July or August you may be treated to numerous family groups in their finery holding cremation ceremonies, with attendant gamelan orchestras, that file past to the nearby beach.
I've been to Aashaya before, I've complimented the rooms, the staff, the food, the pillows, the comfy beds...they're all still there and all still wonderful. I went this time after returning from a funeral in The UK, so my energy was low and my spirit a bit broken. I didn't do much I just lay in the sun at the pool in the beautiful gardens and I just let the "Aashaya magic" calm my soul. I wish I could have stayed longer, but thoroughly enjoyed my visit. If you need to escape the busyness of Seminyak, Legian or Canggu in two and a half hours you could be in Aashaya Jasri.
