Had to move out from Ubud (all hotels are forced to closed) at the start at the pandemic, so we decided to move out far west to Karangasem where hotels and eating places still open (we're stuck at Bali with flight home schedule still in 3 days but kuta-ubud area are closed by the local goverment). Glad we found this place. View of the ocean facing Lombok and the Gunung Agung in one place, majestic. Lovely gardens and swimming pool. Great staffs, delicious foods. Room very big with the style of villa/resort.
This review is about value for money paid. Our room cost $136. Welcome drink and a snack to our rooms was nice. Rooms are fine and beds very comfortable. Mosquito nets provided that could do with a good wash. Wifi is so slow, and yet the hotel seems almost empty. They advertise fast wifi, it’s not. Dinner was awful. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was black inside and tasted funny so I sent it back. The “Winner schnitzel” was pretty dry and tasteless and the chips were crinkle cut frozen ones. My second choice meal was chicken soup with some bread. It came covered in soggy croutons and was very average. We were the only ones in the restaurant. 5 min massage are offered for free. No soap at wash basin, one roll toilet paper, no spare, water only in 330 ml bottles. Breakfast was ok but for the price we’ve dined like kings elsewhere. Choice of fruit or juice, in a tiny little glass. Eggs , bacon, etc, toast.tea and coffee. This was the American breakfast, they also offer Indonesian. Lots of stairs if that’s an issue for you. Pool sparkling clean. Many of the staff seemed to be trainees. The hotel appeared empty. I like older Balinese hotels like this one, but I felt the cost cutting and poor food really let the place down.…
I stayed here one night to visit the Ujung water palace. Lovely pool and large room with kitchen, excellent value for money. The only thing I did not like was the call to worship and the hotel seemed like a fake Bali hotel, however the Balinese staff were friendly and helpful.
Big territory, many small villas, as I saw, most of them (maybe almost all) is empty. Part of personal is friendly, part is maybe friendly, but don’t speak English properly. Room surprised me, everything is old, sheets looked dissapointing, canopy was dirty and had holes. I was waiting for breakfast 30min and finally had to go. It would be ok if it costs 200-300k, but not 700k
Our group of se en People stay there 3 nights and it was very pleasant stay. The rsort is quite big, but we were there almost alone, we appreciated it especially at the pool. 😉 Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. Ujung Water Palace is literally next door. Only the spa could be opened little bit longer (it's only till 6PM, when we usually returned from our trips).
A very nice villa situated on top and adjacent of Taman Soekasada Ujung with views to magnificent Sea and Mount Lempuyang. Very big villa can accommodate us wife, I and our two kids. The villa is fully furnished with modern facilities, clean and obviously nice welcome from dedicated staff and management - Pak Made. Definitely we will be back
Indeed a serene place to relax. Get involved with nature. Listen to birds chirping sounds. Witness Occean waves patting the shore. Listen to the wake up call "Adhan' call from the Mosque by Muezzin, "Bhur Bhuva Swaha" from the nearby Hindu temple, take a look at the panoramic view of the Water Palace of the then 30th Raja Bertahta Di Puri Augug Karangasem. ANAK AGUNG ANGLURAH KETUT KARANGASEM. Truly, Bali has it's divine blessing's!
excellent hotel for both spending holiday with family and doing business occation... the hotel staff were excellent and the food were delicious.. loves the Pork Ribs so much... i spend 60 days in this hotel on my business occation... the only thing they should improve was the variety of the menu..
What a fabulous location!! 404 is the best room with ocean view and taman ujung water palace. has a wonderful sunrise at roof and a unbelievable swimming pool. A sandwich club that complimentary hehehe
Stayed here in July 2017, for a few days and enjoyed my stay so much, extended my stay by a couple of days. As others have mentioned this is a charming new resort adjoining the Taman Ujung Water Palace. All rooms are individual bungalows, interiors are very spacious, with patio at front with seating, and small garden areas around. This does make them very private. The grounds are immaculate, a joy to wander through on way to restaurant / reception. It is also possible to purchase tickets, and access, the Water Palace from the resort itself. Perhaps the most endearing feature of the resort are the staff. What comes across is their genuine friendliness and willingness to help. They are certainly an asset to the resort. If anybody is visiting East Bali, I would certainly recommend this resort as a place not only to chill out in, but also to use as a base to explore the surrounding area, with attractions such as Tirta Gangga Water Palace and Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang (Lempuyang temple)…
