A short drive from Ubud, Alam Sari is built into a beautifully lush hillside. There is an abundance of flora and fauna everywhere, giving the impression that this place has been there awhile and the jungle is growing around it, creating a very intimate and private atmosphere. At night, the sounds of nature come alive, providing a wonderful soundtrack to...

Besides flavourful food, generous pool, hillside spa, and organic vegetable garden, we enjoyed lazing on the veranda of our tasteful yet simple bungalow with indoor bathroom that felt outdoors, and traditional Bali-style four-poster bed to dream away after a relaxing day of sightseeing by foot or scooter. Note: the gym is now a space for DIY yoga.

My wife visited Bali 13 years ago with a unforgettable beautiful memory and has been asking me to go with her again and again. To satisfy her dream, I decided to take a 7-day holiday to Bali at the end of June 2013. The hotel shuttle bus picked us up at the airport. I must say I was disappointed as...

We stayed at the Alam Sari in May 2013 for a week. It was six of us including two three year old kids. The villa Saraswati is huge and therefore provides plenty of room for everyone. The master bedroom is also very large and the setting is just perfect. Especially the views of Mt Agung in the early morning hours...

Just back in WA after 10 amazing days based at Alam Sari. What a beautiful place to stay!! Rooms are lovely, surroundings gorgeous. Staff were all so lovely. Food at the resort restaurant was delicious. Lovely having spa onsite. Really enjoyed being out in nature, yet just a short drive into Ubud - where there's everything you could need. Based...

REASONS FOR POOR RATING: Was disappointed as soon as I arrived, had booked a "traditional stay room" Figuring that it was just a basic room from the description posted on Expedia. Boy was I surprised....it was a room not even on the resort and had no running water, AC, just a bed in a room. The bathroom was not even...

Thank you for your feedback on your experience and we are glad that despite the initial disappointment due to the room confusion, that there were elements of the hotel you enjoyed. This is something that we have been aware of and are in the process of rectifying it by moving the “Village Stay Room” to its own listing and developing...

A great place to rest and relax in the hills of Ubud. The accomodation is very well presented, clean and roomy. The location provides a setting of peace and tranqulity. Meals were good a little limited in choices for breakfast but more than enough to get your day started. Nice pool area surrounded by beautiful gardens. Staff very friendly and...

This is an amazing hotel in the Ubud area, rooms were very good and the view is simply amazing. As far as I'm concerned the only downside is the fact that the hotel is next to a pretty busy street and it gets kinda loud in the morning/throughout the day. Staff is super helpful and the fact that the hotel...

A very beautiful hotel with peaceful environment and good services, from the breakfast provided to the shutter to Ubud town. Fantastic! Alam sari had a good connecting to nature. We enjoyed the beautiful surrounding and the services. The room was spacious and clean. Thank you to Alam Sari and I would recommend other friends to stay in Alam Sari.

This was my second stay at Alam Sari and this really is a beautiful property. The gardens are so beautiful and the tropical feel makes you feel so peaceful. It is in a small village, so you really have contact with the local Balinese. I would recommend the village walk. Our guide was so informative and we went way over...
