We stumbled across this place after struggling to get accommodation anywhere else as they were either full or wanted ridiculous amount of money. We went during the local holidays and Nuwara Elliya was the place to be during that time. We arrived at the front gate not thinking too much about it, but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised by...

Had read good things on TripAdvisor so booked one night here whilst in Nuwara Eliya. Staff initially welcoming with a cuppa in a bright communal spot with good views. Good security with exterior locked gate to road. Unfortunately downhill from there. Mosquito net in bedroom full of big holes. Exterior door and windows in room left wide open on arrival...

We stood 3 nights here. Really nice garden and stylish rooms. Created atmosphere in here is sure benefit. Some hints for the new guests. It is quite cold in Nuwara Eliya and most of the guesthouses do not have any heating system, included in King Fern. For the compensation they have hot shower and good tea. Guests whose are hanging...

Nice and quiet place to stay. The room was big enough and it had a perfect big bed. The bathroom was a little bit outdated and small but had a very nice hot water shower. The overall vibe in the lounge/restaurant is very relaxing and it even has a fireplace. The view of the restaurant is also very nice. Overall...

The good things first: Sanjay the manager allowed us to check out early with no penalty. He was informative and friendly and arranged a day trip to Horton's Plains the morning after we arrived. The bad: no matter what they tell you, a WiFi connection is not going to happen. So, no WiFi. then our room - it looked as...

This cottage is beautifully designed and built to take advantage of the little stream that runs trough it as well as having it's beautiful wooden balconies built around giant King Ferns. The owner is serious about his commitment to the environment and sends staff out every morning to clean the rubbish which is sadly swept down the stream every night....

We spent one night here and were happy with it, but the bathroom didn't fit with the rest of the room as it is a bit run down. Great wooden carved furniture and funky set up. Our room backed on to the main area so we had to ask for the music to be turned down due to our 4:30am...
