We’ve just spent three wonderful nights at Avani Quy Nohn.
Where to start….?
The rooms are very generous in size with good air con and a fan. All face out to a beautiful clean beach. A king bed with plentiful space in wardrobes and drawers. Large shower and separate toilet
Our room also had a large desk area. Within the cupboards are a safe, beach bag and thongs (the sand and pool surround VERY hot) We swam daily at the beach and pool. There is no life guard at the beach and I was surprised at the strength of the current.
The resort has an Activity room and play ground for children.
Breakfast was plentiful in the Tre Restaurant. We ate nightly at the restaurant and the food was delicious. They also offer a Western menu
Note: There is NO air con in the restaurant areas, the weather in August is hot and humid, but they do have fans and portable air units. At night the breeze was lovely, so we always chose a table outside.
The staff are lovely and always helpful.
Note: There is no air con in the restaurant or reception areas.
Overall, we loved our stay. The pool tiles and some areas look a little tired but we didn’t care. We will stay again!!
Recommendations: Accept the transport offered by the resort. The airport is an hour away. The train station 30 minutes.

The hotel facilities, rooms and views were great, but above all the staff were amazing.
The reception staff arranged rooms for us early and suggested Check-outs late because we had too much time for flights.
The staff at the restaurant and bar were quick to serve us, and the cleaning staff understood English and responded to our requests.
Thanks to you, I had a very relaxing time during my stay. Thank you very much.
I would love to visit again.

When arriving at the portier, you get all the service, you would expect of a higher class resort like getting picked up with a golf cart and getting your luggage carried for you. Our concierge Cừờng was super helpful, showed us around all the connected resorts, speaks fluently english and assisted us with our ongoing travel. The staff at the restaurant was also very attentive, noticing our preferences at the first breakfast (regarding the standard parts of breakfast before ordering more à la carte) and made sure that we would get an adjusted breakfast the next day, without us even asking for it.
The suites are top for this price class (higher price class with even more detailed amenities is available next in the partnered resort Anantara). You get a seaside view from the bed and the shower (closable with curtains of course) with a private balcony. The resort's private beach is really beautiful, but everyday around the same time some trash get's swept in from the sea, which then is promptly collected by the staff, so that you usually don't notice it. They also put out benches upon necessity and it is really quiet and relaxing, with a view to all the fishing boats outside on the sea.

My group booked 7 rooms, checked in at 2pm and only received 2 rooms and there was no information on check-in time for the remaining 5 rooms.
At 2.30pm, I continued to ask and received 1 more room and the remaining 4 rooms had to wait another hour. After discussing, you can change rooms for your group to check in earlier.
At 3pm, our group received all the rooms, of which 1 room had not yet dried floors, 1 room had a musty smell, and 1 refill room was missing items.
The point that made me and everyone in the group feel uncomfortable was the indifference, indifference, lack of professionalism and rude attitude of the receptionists and a bellboy. During the check-in process, you did not announce the waiting time for the room, but let me and everyone proactively ask. You guys also didn't care or pay attention to the group even though our group checked in late.
The female receptionist spoke curtly like a market seller, indifferent. My sister asked a male receptionist if there were any cold towels (it was very hot at that time), but he gave her a bunch of wrapped cold towels without saying anything. When I got back to my room, Uncle Bell kept urging me to go quickly so I could get to another room.

When our group checked out, even though we had notified them in advance, we had to wait a long time for them to prepare check-out documents. And I have to proactively ask instead of you contacting me directly. And once again, during the check-in period, I was waiting in the lobby and no one came to ask questions, the reception desk had no staff. Invoice details are not clear. The female receptionist's attitude was still curt and unprofessional

Our family stayed here for 3 nights, 3 rooms. The hotel is a run-down property, understaffed and badly trained. Yes, the resort has a good private beach and that's it. Both restaurants are painfully slow serving, an hour wait for main dishes, kitchen forgetting dish, and lack of servers (2-3 people taking orders and bringing food for the whole restaurants). Mind you, the price is over 1 million vnd per customer when we dined there ($40+). Room staffs mistake shampoo for conditioner, when ask front desk for it, they gave us an empty tube (?). The resort is poorly maintained, doors falling off at lobby, ping pong and pool tables look like trash. I am amazed how this resort gets 5 star reviews, perhaps they only suck up to foreign guests and our family wasn't?

We had a wonderful holiday at Avani Quy Nhon in July 2020.

We spent a week & took their morning yoga classes every morning.

The rooms are open & spacious with curtains separating the shower, washing & toilet area. Each room has a terrace which faces out to the beach & sea.

The breakfast buffet is fine with Vietnamese & continental dishes, made to order eggs & coffee.

The beach is beautiful, clean & easily accessible from the rooms. They have a small pool & other facilities.

A 5 minute walk northwards along their stretch of Bai Xep beach you will find the fishing village of Khu Vuc 1 with fresh seafood cooked & served at tables along the beach as well as a couple of beachside restaurants.

Quy Nhon city is a 20 minute drive from the hotel. There are Champa temples & ruins throughout the region.

Credit to their Executive Assistant Manager Mohammad Taha Jaber Nashwan & Guest Relations Manager Duc Tang.

Our interaction & contact with all the members of the Avani team (Breakfast & dinner teams, front desk, housekeepers, porters, security, management... - many of whom have been with Avani for over 5 years) was professional & positive.

They attempted to meet all our requests.

Everyone was exceptionally helpful & went out of their way to make our 3.5 year-old son feel extremely comfortable. Their “Kid’s Club” manager Sa organized a series of non-screen activities like a family treasure hunt throughout the property, non La painting & family badminton that kept us all busy.

The location is beautiful, but to us the most important part of any vacation is that our son feels welcome, included & respected. He did.

We agree with previous reviews that there is some work that needs to be done to upgrade the fitness & game rooms, add some shaded areas to the pool as it gets direct sun all day & provide each guest with sustainable water bottles (encourage them to bring their own) & install water stations throughout the property to reduce the amount of disposable plastic.

Everything else they get right from location to customer service.

If you are coming by plane to Phu Cat airport, we recommend you get a taxi at the airport as it is substantially cheap than the hotel shuttle.

The effort of the team makes us want to revisit Avani Quy Nhon.

Hotel is perfect if you are heading to Quy Nhon and looking for a sea view with access to a nice beach. It is a 20 minute taxi ride from the city, but Grab means this isn’t a problem. However the food on offer at the restaurant could be improved. Choices on both Vietnamese and Western menu are quite limited. Portions on the western menu are also very small and quite expensive. A small scoop of ice cream is 9k dong. Bear this in mind if you are not planning to eat out in the city at night. There are some excellent restaurants and bars in the city so I would recommend venturing out at night.

We booked the full board package with 3 meals included. That was a great choice. Services were excellent, foods were great. Ms. Sarah offered an upgrade for us that was so much appreciated. Her team has done a great job in covid 19 control. The covid test of all family members were required before staying upon check in, luggages were sprayed ( sterilised) and I saw hotel staffs did spray( sterilised) a room for upcoming guests. That really made us feel safe.
We had dinner and breakfast at Sea Fire Salt restaurant. Food was excellent. Thanks to Chef and FB team.
Staffs were friendly, service was great. Absolutely we will come back and recommend this resort

Hotel is situated on lovely strip of beach that is very quiet and wide. The water in August was like bath water. We enjoyed it daily and lovely walks on the beach. The hotel pool is also refreshing and we had no problem getting lounges daily. The rooms are spacious and the king bed was very comfortable and AC was really good. We had a lovely view of the beach and the rooms were very quiet.
The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. They helped us rent motorbikes and brought them right to the hotel and assisted us with restaurants for our day trips.
The spa is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the chakra balancing massage . They offer daily yoga each morning which I really enjoyed in the beautiful jungle setting on the spa deck.
The food was excellent both local and western food options. We especially enjoyed the seafood hotpot and local fish. So many options in the morning for breakfast both hot and cold.
We felt so welcome by the staff and enjoyed the 7 days we spent there with no stress and leaving very relaxed

Spectacular beachfront location away from tourist area- great staff and good food . Next door to sister property Anatara villas which had great pool area/ restaurant. the owners of this property ( minor hotels) need to do a complete renovation of pool and pool area plus update the decor in rooms. This could be a very successful property if they invest some money to justify the high rates.

Are there many local restaurants nearby and does the hotel still offer a shuttle to town?

there is a small village with some gastronomy nearby. we did not explore specific options, but i would not expect much more than a few places with local food (and there is a beach bar). the receptionist can organize a ride for you, they don't offer the rides themselves. we went to the village, asked the first person on the street where we could rent a motorbike and got one for 150k for the evening to ride into town (makes for more of an adventure)

As per my review it costs 60,000 dong per person each way and is at set times giving you about 2 hours there which is plenty. You can also get taxi's and ubers.

The Avani is in a beautiful bay (Xep) with a very small village attached. You can walk along the beach to the village and there are several restaurants. Mopeds are a good idea. Hills and curves into Quy Nhon. There’s also a bus that stops at the village every hour. A favorite restaurant on the main road is Bon La
