This is a hip, cool, fairly new hotel. The views can be limited from the rooms, but the views from the lounges in the top of the hotel are amazing. Incredible sunset with the capital in the background.

According to the hotel web site, they do provide free shuttle service to the Madison airport. The UW campus is about a mile from the hotel and is a very pleasant walk. Leave the hotel and head toward the capital, turn right, then left, then right onto State street. It's a straight shot from there. With all the restaurants, bars, coffee shops, snack shops and stores on State street, the stroll is both interesting and safe.
