We had an wonderful experience staying at the Livingston Inn. It is an amazingly beautiful place wonderfully restored by Peggy and Dave. An awesome location for anyone that is familiar with Madison, situated on the isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Menona, just walking distance to the Capitol and many top rate restaurants, as well as hip and trendy places...

Yes, we strive for first class, but it's such a privilege to also host classy people like yourselves...plus very hip, too! The Livingstone Inn is a reminder of why it is so more enjoyable to stay overnight in a B&B compared to a hotel. Peggy is a welcoming host and offers complimentary wine, beer, and evening chocolates. The rooms are spacious, clean and very quiet. The location is perfect for getting around town and onto the campus. There is a bike...

It's so wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay. Dave and I really appreciate that you wrote a review as well, and I'm glad you enjoyed time at the breakfast table. As the years go by, that time together has become such as welcoming part of the day for us because every guest has something interesting to contribute. Warm regards,...

We only stayed one night on our way from St Paul to Chicago but Peggy was extremely generous with her hospitality and her time. (We didn’t meet Dave.) The extra treats, such as the availability of wine and beer, and chocolates in the hall later, made us feel very pampered. Peggy’s suggested restaurant for a light meal (Forequarter in the...

This is an extraordinary vintage home in Madison, tastefully decorated, and staying here was an absolute pleasure. Our room was comfortable, and there were so many thoughtful touches throughout the inn, like a decanter of fresh water in the room each day, a plate of chocolates in the front hall each night. Breakfast was well prepared and delicious. Guests breakfasted...

This B & B is a beautiful historical house near downtown Madison The house is majestic on the outside and very tastefully decorated on the inside. It is close to many parks going north or south on Gorham and only a 10 min walk to the Capitol. We liked the fact that many of the restaurants and places we visited...

Thank you for sharing many helpful insights in your review! We do wonder how often people actually use the TV in their rooms, but sometimes it's nice to have when there's a little down time. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and wish you all the best. Peggy and Dave

This beautiful, old house was very comfortable. It is located a short walk to the main part of Madison. We found the walk to be a nice interlude after dinner. The room we stayed in was reasonably sized and very comfortable. Peggy & Dave are very personable. They are willing to share their knowledge of the area and help with...

Our room had a large bathroom which with a tub-sized shower. Breakfast was quite good with fresh fruit, yogurt, an egg dish, bacon, and muffins. Beverages, including beer and wine,...
