We stayed here for two nights whilst touring El Salvador. The hotel itself is pretty cute and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast however was poor on both occasions so we resulted in going across the street to the square for pupusas. There is very little to do here and we found the restaurant in the hotel to be closed in...

I stayed here with an Intrepid group, so I can't speak to the value for price. But the rooms are very nice (although some are quite small), the staff was helpful, filtered water is available. Located right across from the Cathedral, the hotel is in a historic building with lots of charming decor, like a collection of manual typewriters and...

If you are looking for a hotel in Ahuachapan, then look no further than La Casa de Mamapan. The location is perfect next to Parque Concordia, and is easily identified by the 'dolls' that guard the entrance. We chose to stay in Ahuachapan in order to visit Los Ausoles, which can be reached by bus #809. However, it can also...

I loved everything about my stay at La casa de mamapan. The rooms were big and beautiful, bathroom was also roomy and was very clean, room had air conditioning and wifi. The staff was very helpful, polite, and friendly. Great location too. Just across from the square where some activities take place. I definitely recommend this hotel if you ever...

Ahuachapan is a tiny sleepy yet quaint town just outside the Ruta de la Flores. The town has very limited options and the La Casa de Mamapan is a decent option in a very central location. Rooms are clean and beds/pillows both comfortable. All rooms were air conditioned and set to a normal temperature (a rarity in El Salvador). Showers...

I stayed here for a week. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, the shower was tepid, not warm or hot. Catholic Church is right next door, across a small plaza. The Central Park is across the street, and vibrant. Food was local recipes and tasty.

We had booked the hotel through booking.com, the booking was confirmed and when arriving at the hotel, we not only found out that the staff didn´t know anything about our booking, but we couldn´t talk to a supervisor or someone in charge to ask about it. The staff were going to get in touch with the owner but she didn´t...

The first thing I look for in a hotel is clean rooms and bathrooms, this hotel had both. Each room also had air conditioning, a tv, and there was a menu you could order from. I ate breakfast there every morning and the food was delicious! I was also lucky enough to meet the family that owns the hotel and...

As part of a group visiting El Salvador for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations at Mamapan. Nice rooms. Reliable WiFi. Convenient laundry service-- $10 for a full bag; $5 for a half bag. Good food. Nice area with a court yard by the entrance with a fountain and a lovely park just...

A difficult property to assess. It has many positives but you shouldn't set your expectations high. It is right in the centre of town next to the main square and church. A reasonably picturesque area and perfectly safe to stroll round the block and square at night. Nice friendly bar around the corner and at the small restaurant opposite. And...
