The Roosevelt is a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a standard King room. It was incredibly spacious and very well appointed. The layout was very smart, and we loved spending time in the room. Very nice, large bathroom. Downstairs is a nice bar and two restaurants. We loved Teddy's, and ate there several times. If it's in your budget, I...

Stayed over Mardi Gras for a truly memorable experience. Got upgraded to a suite, which was a fabulous, with 2 rooms plus 1 1/2 bathrooms. the main bathroom has multiple shower jets, plus a TV in the bathroom. The extra touches, with pralines in the room and water are just added advantages. From the time we pulled up and valeted...

Nice hotel! My husband and I traveled with our two children and his parents. The reservations were made separately. We requested a double queen room and my in-laws requested the single queen room. The room size difference was astounding! Our room was grand and spacious and theirs was claustrophobic and disappointing. We traveled on a business rate with my husband...

Come by to visit the during the holiday season and marvel at the beautiful light and decoration in the Roosevelt lobby which runs from the entrance on Bayonne St. through to Roosevelt Way on the other side of the hotel. You can also see the famous Paris Exhibition Clock in the lobby. Worth your time to drop in.

Very nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable. However, I was extremely disappointed that there isn't a coffeemaker in the room! You have to go down to the lobby area or order room service to get a cup of coffee. The Windsor Court has a single serve coffee maker in their rooms!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
