Newly renovated hotel. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. I judge a hotel by their hallways, and this was very clean walls. Friendly staff. Everyone was nice. A shout out to George, the concierge and Killian at the front desk.

Unusually busy weekend in New Orleans so we decided to try the Intercontinental On St. Charles. The hotel is located a block or so off Canal and is an easy walk to the French Quarter and other downtown attractions. The room was nice and big. It was clean and well maintained. Big bathroom and a nice balcony that overlooked the...

Very good location-a few blocks from the French Quarter. The room was large, clean, and attractive. The bar had a great happy hour and the restaurant had a great lunch special. The staff in the hotel was very accommodating.

My wife and I stayed at the Intercontinental for my 30th high school reunion. I’m not sure when it was mentioned as neither of us remember discussing it but one of the team members knew somehow because a fabulous amenity was delivered to the room while we were out mentioning the occasion along with a handwritten note from the management...

I was at an event at the InterContinental Hotel and mistakenly left my umbrella there. Fortunately the great staff, Bianca Cruz-Bonilla, Huey Harrison, Lee Stelly, were able to find it and allow me to retrieve it. Great service!

Traveled to New Orleans to attend a concert with my son. Booked the room for 3 nights. Arrived at 12:30 pm expecting to store the luggage since it was so early, but to our surprise the room was ready. Check in took less than 5 minutes, yes less than 5 minutes! The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom...

We were only in town one night on our way from TX to FL. The location was pretty good, close to the French Qtr, but not TOO close. Hotel was nice. We originally got put on the 7th floor, which is the only floor where smoking is allowed. Although we were in a non-smoking room, we could still smell the...

A perfect visit. The location of this Intercontinental is great: Close to the famous French Quarter Streets and only a 10 minute walk to Riverwalk. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
