Hotel was great! It is within walking distance to everything - the rooms were nice, the beds were very comfortable, friendly staff and George at the bar is fantastic! Highly recommend J.W.Marriott in NOLO

I really enjoyed my stay at the JW Marriott. The staff in particular the door people and front desk were very friendly and helpful. It is also conveniently located and the rooms are nice and quiet. The bed was so comfy. Paul the doorman was especially helpful and friendly. Business travel can be stressful but it's nice to stay in...

I am super picky about hotels! This place is clean and nicely kept! Parking is $45 which is pricey but it's the French quarter so most parking is around that price. The foyer and common areas are very nice. The room was spacious and clean! Just a nice stay! Great location as well!

The hotel is fine and the staff are all really nice. However, they cool the hallways to what can only be described as frigid. It was really uncomfortably cold! The rooms are also not well sound proofed. I'm not taking about street noise, that was fine. We could hear the man in the room next to us cough, talk on...

My friends and I stayed at the JW Marriott during Mardi Gras in 2014. Arrival - We arrived in New Orleans later in the evening and there just so happen to be a parade going on. We called the hotel because we were in such a horrible traffic. The front desk was so helpful guiding us around the parade traffic....

Solid JW Marriot Experience on the edge of the French Quarter. The quarter is out your front door, the St. Charles and Canal street cars are too. You are close enough to the French Quarter without being in it which makes it a little quitter. Room was very large and clean - 26th floor room had nice views. Hotel pool...

I am truly excited to share that the best part of the trip was getting the local prospective from the staff. Mr. Paul turned out to be the best resource and tour guide from places to go to what to eat.

My wife and I stayed here with two teenagers for 2 nights during our spring break trip. The room was cozy (they booked us for a king but brought in two rollaways) but the service was helpful and cheerful. This hotel, as part of the flagship JW Marriott brand, does not disappoint. Room appointments are a step up from other Marriott brands and are spacious and comfortable. The location cannot be beat. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
