    Just got back from NO... Charming hotel.. Clean... so close to Jackson Square etc.. It was very relaxing sitting in the court yard... Employees were very helpful... I would stay here again... we had a very pleasant 3 nights staying here.

    It is about 1/2 mile walk to Canal. It can be very pleasant looking at the shops. Canal is where the trains are. I haven't taken the train in years. I would imagine a taxi from Canal to the the zoo is about $10. This... More

    Hi Jenn, the tour is about 2.5 blocks away, a 2-minute walk. Like any big city, you always want to be conscious of your surroundings, travel in groups, walk down well-lit streets, and follow your instincts.

    We have nine Jr. Suites. Seven have views of the courtyard and two (rooms 409 & 410) have no view but small dormer windows that let in light but without a view. Hope this helps!
