Took a family vacation and I choose this hotel since it has queen beds plus breakfast. From the moment we stepped out of the car we were treated to great hospitality. The door man Gary was a great man to give us pointers on where to eat. He even played with my 2 year old daughter and made her laugh.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with our 3 grandchildren, aged 7 - 15. The room was great, the staff friendly, the breakfast was good and different each day. This is a great location for walking to the French Quarter. We also took taxis a couple of times (to and from the Amtrak station) and from the WWII...

Great location and great hotel! Very friendly staff. St. Charles streetcar comes right by the hotel and you are right next to Canal Street. Rooms were large, very nice and clean. Would highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed here for the first time in September 2015. We were visiting for Southern Decadence. This hotel had a great deal with parking included. It's very hard to find a hotel that without a paid valet or expensive parking so I went ahead and booked. I read a lot of reviews on how large the rooms were which was...

This hotel provides the best of both worlds...close proximity to the French Quarter and other attractions but quiet at night if you're not in NOLA to party. The building is historic but well-maintained and the rooms are spacious and well-furnished. I've traveled quite a bit and this was one of my favorite hotels. I was in NOLA on business but...

Great hotel! Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Mattresses very comfortable. Wonderful continental breakfast! Block and a half from Canal St. Short walk to Burbon Street. Street car stop close to hotel. Very quiet hotel. No pool or patio area to hang out by but ok since Resturants and cafes close by.

The hotel is very pretty and is a historic building. Our room with one king bed was very large, clean, and beautiful. I felt safer knowing that you need to use your room key to be able to use the elevators. The free breakfasts were delicious and consisted of waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, different meats and...

I couldn't get booked at my regular hotel in downtown NOLA, so I tried this June. I think it may be my new favorite. Darn near IN the French quarter. Good security. Great service. Very responsive. Will use again.

It's proximity to the french quarter without actually being in the french quarter provides a calm atmosphere with only steps away from the lively french quarter. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
