The Chateau is a reasonable priced gem in the heart of the French Quarter that showcases an exceptionally colorful concierge that diligently works to ensure your stay at the hotel and visit to New Orleans will be one to remember. It is far enough from the hectic partying of the Bourbon Street section of French Quarter to enjoy a serene...

Location, as promised, was fantastic. Perfect for anyone who wants to be 'in the centre of life' in the French Quarter. The staff at the hotel are also fantastic (although we were promised a cab on our check out to the airport which never arrived). The room was poor. Unclean and not well maintained.

The hotel is beautiful but in need of some repairs or renovations. The location is excellent if you don't mind a bit of walking. The area felt very safe, but you could still hear noise from businesses nearby. The staff was wonderful and helpful regarding recommendations and accommodations.

Your hotel and staff made the visit one of the most enjoyable experiences we've had in a long time. The hotel and it's location provided an authenticity to the area and the staff enhanced it with their professionalism, courtesy and knowledge.

Dear Allan T, Thank you very much for your feedback. We at the Cheateau Hotel strive for glowing reviews such as this. The Chateau Hotel certainly is a beautiful, authentically New Orleans, property in the heart of the French Quarter. We cannot wait for your return. Regards,

Decent place, nothing special except a lovely courtyard. Location is excellent for accessing most of the French Quarter and Marigny. Bathroom is quite small, no vanity for your toiletries, and shower curtain was too short to prevent bathwater from getting all over the floor.

The front desk staff at the hotel were attentive and accommodating. All our needs were handled quickly and efficiently. From room supplies to ordering a cab.The court yard was a nice place to relax for morning coffee or an afternoon drink. Our room was a little overtaken by the king bed. A place to sit would have made the room...

Location and cleanliness is very good. Service not so much. Rude, and unwilling to be of service. Once you check in they are done with you. Bell boy told us breakfast was brought to our room.. Next morning when we asked about it, we were told that they quit that a long time ago. We needed to go down to...

My husband and I stayed at Chateau Hotel last year and are coming back this weekend for a mini honeymoon because of the trifecta- Great service, great location, and great NOLA charm! Even starting with the booking process, the front desk staff (maybe Eric?) was so friendly and helpful in assisting us. I knew I wanted a balcony room this...

Chateau Hotel was great, if you want a jumbo room and large hallways check out the Marriott, if you want to experience the French Quarter, being in the center of it all at a price you can manage, check into the Chateau Hotel.

The Chateau Hotel had been a hidden gem in NOLA, but no more. I second the opinion of other reviewers that the hotel's new management no longer has any interest in customer service. During our stay, there was a computer error that showed us checking out a day early. We did not learn of this until the day before our...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
