Was not what we had experienced before at Chateau. We had received a daily breakfast brought to our room, but now it was a breakfast in the lobby that was not very well attended. Had to ask for some essential items that should have been part of room service, and initially we were not given a room that we requested....

Dear easytraveler0211, We are sorry to hear that your stay was not what you remembered. We do not offer continental breakfast through room service because we feel that our guests should be able to help themselves to the items that we offer without the expectation of paying additional fees. I do agree that the items should continuously be replenished. At...

The location of this hotel is great if you want to stay in the French Quarter. They need to upgrade their mattresses and do a little bit of maintenance ie. drywall repair and paint. The staff was very helpful and accomidating.

This hotel has changed ownership, and it has seen a huge drop off in quality and service. I can no longer recommend it. For a couple of decades it was my hidden gem in the French Quarter, not the Ritz, but very affordable and friendly and in a quieter location away from the frat boy bars on Bourbon Street. My...

Would definitely stay again. Quiet and peaceful area even during French Quarter Fest, yet close (walking distance) to everything. We had a room (number 55) in a beautiful old building down the street (right next to the parking). The two of us who slept in the bedroom got a great night's sleep. The pull out couch in the living room...

LOVED THE EFFORT BEING MADE TO BRING THIS HISTORIC BUILDING BACK TO FULL FUNCTUINALLITY. Where did you find such fine staff...they never stopped running for the guests yet still remained so service oriented toward their gusts. Yes, we felt like we were guests and not just another customer like we would have been at a larger chain. n t

The staff is amazing. Far more accomodating than they have to be.I had a petite room on the ground floor and it was perfect. This hotel lets you know you are in the french quarter so much more than a chain hotel. Great location to get around.

The hotel is great, small rooms. Front desk is terrible. Josh was great but I did not get the type of room I requested, there is no parking, you have to walk 12 block from public parking to get to hotel. The front desk is rude and have the attitude of not wanting to help, that we are a bother...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
