Our group of eight friends started our trip to New Orleans with a ride on the Green line to the Columns Hotel. A beautiful old mansion with a huge front porch. There was a wedding party inside, so we sat out on the porch and watched the world go past. Would be a great spot for watching the parades. The...

A friend recommended we stop for a drink at this cool hotel bar (hotel is in an old mansion). The bartenders 3 bro friends were drinking there telling offensive jokes and there were ladies (including my wife) around. It was completely inappropriate. I'm sure the hotel is nice but bar service should be more refined given the historic nature of...

I have mulled over whether or not to compose this review. I hope this will make me a little less angry. My husband & I stayed here with a wedding party. We checked out before noon on Sunday & did a few touristy things before driving back to Pensacola, Fl around 2. About 45 mins outside of NOLA, I realized...

Small, friendly hotel in the Garden District. Housed in one of the old St. Charles Ave. mansions, each room is different and yes, they're not 5 star standard but they're clean, the a/c worked perfectly and the bed was quite comfortable. The price seemed a bit high for what you get but perhaps not compared to other similar options. The...

This review is only for the dining and bar. I have not stayed at this hotel. The Columns Hotel is a great gathering spot for locals and visitors to the Big Easy (non-hotel guests) to unwind after a day at work or exploring the city. Located in the Garden District, it is easily accessible by street car. The large tables...

This amazingly spectacular building is a great stop to see a living relic of what New Orleans was in its prime. A former private residence that retains all of ours original grandeur. Walk from room to room and explore this place so that you don't miss a detail. Then have a drink in the bar or in the porch, it...

Sunday Brunch on the porch in the sunshine (on a cool day): Delicious Bloody Marys to sip while listening to guitarist Chip Wilson perform a variety of standards--often with clever riffs and nods to other songs--along with some of his own compositions. St Charles streetcars passing.

The Columns Hotel is a Beautiful Setting that has Delicious Drinks! We sat on the giant porch and had our drinks. We ordered a Pimns Cup, a mint julep and a side car. They were all very good. The traditional Southern Porch is the perfect place to chill and watch the street cars go by. The Hotel architecture is beautiful...
