This B&B at 1739 Marengo in the Garden District (or Uptown as they say there) is a wonderful old New Orleans home, I'd guess the 1930s, nicely appointed, lovely rooms and a great yummy breakfast. There is WiFi access (though the router sometimes acted funny and wouldn't process my outgoing Outlook messages). Furnishings are simple but perfectly comfortable. If you...

We literally had only 24 hours in New Orleans and Cindee Quick at Southern Comfort made our stay perfect with her guidance, maps and tips, and hospitality. It's well-located for Garden District walking tours and St. Charles streetcars, making just about everything accessible. We managed to wander the Garden District, the French Quarter, and eat at some amazing places. Cindee's...

Wonderfully restored house between the Garden and Uptown districts, just a couple blocks from the St. Charles trolley line. Lovely garden, large rooms, and wireless network. Hostess is a New Orleans native, and really knows New Orleans inside and out and can offer dining, sightseeing and other advice. Stayed here for a conference downtown, and loved taking the trolley or...

We stayed for 2 nights in the Horizon (blue) suite. We had a very relaxing time here, our first time we've ever stayed outside the Bourbon Street area. The home is beautifully renovated and decorated in an understated fashion. Cindee, the hostess, provides excellent ideas for sight-seeing and things to do, with wisdom that comes from living in the area...

We really enjoyed our stay to this B&B. Cindee, the proprietor, is extremely friendly, and gives excellent tips for fun things to do, whether you're here for the food and sightseeing (like we were) or for relaxing or partying, as some of our fellow guests were. We stayed in the tan-colored room, which was spacious and had a very comfortable...

We stayed 6 nights at this perfectly located and simply elegant B&B where we slept soundly, enjoyed our morning swing on the porch after a great breakfast, and then walked to the St. Charles Streetcar, which would take us to many wonderful sights in New Orleans. For us, close proximity to public transportation and quiet nights are very high priority...

If you are tired of the sterile unfriendly hotel experience, then this is the place for you. The owner Cindee makes you feel very welcome and the breakfast meals she makes are fantastic. I stayed two nights with my wife and son and the room was very clean and spacious and the atmosphere makes you feel as if you are...

We absolutely loved our stay at Southern Comfort. Cindee made us feel welcome, and was genuinely interested in the success of our stay. She knows and loves New Orleans, and her recommendations perfectly matched our personalities. Breakfast was different each morning and always delicious! The rooms were elegant and airy; not over-stated. The location of Southern Comfort can't be beat....

We just stayed at Southern Comfort for 5 nights over Mardi Gras last week. This was our third time at this location, and our first Mardi Gras. This is a small - just three rooms - B&B, but it is so very well located, just three blocks from St. Charles Avenue. So you can make trips back to the room...
