The location is perfect to be in the mix but not IN the mix. The room was a basic room nothing to write about, the bed was hard as a rock. The room had no view what so ever, you got to look at a brick wall. Go place to sleep that's about it.

We were traveling in a party of 24 with 5 vehicles. I had previously lived in New Orleans (West Bank) and knew traffic, people, and the sites we wanted to see. We were only in town for one evening before our cruise, so location was key to see the few sites we had fit into our one night stay in...

Dear Valued Guest: Thank you for the nice review of my hotel. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Parking is expensive in the French Quarter but I can assure you our prices are in line with what the other hotels are charging. We look forward to having you back the next time you visit New Orleans.

We stayed for three nights at this property. We'd like to commend your front desk employee, Krya. She helped to change rooms during our stay, as our preferred room type became available. All of the employees we encountered were helpful, polite and pleasant. This is a very convenient location to multiple restaurants and entertainment venues.

Courteous service. Had a nice, clean and good sized room that appeared to be fairly new. And great location - middle of St. Charles-French Quarter, within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. And we left our car in the parking garage past checkout time, so my wife and I could spend more time in the Quarter.

Great spot on Royal Street so easy walking for the French Quarter. Rooms were small with absolutely no view. Clean and sufficient though. Cleaning service was poor and we had to remind them to clean rooms twice. Rooms are on really weird levels too - you get out of the lift then have to go either up or down two...

This was an excellent location. You walked out your door and you were in the heart of the French Quarters. The trolley was only a block or two away which made it easy to get around. You do not need a car while you're there so leave it parked. The bathroom was a little on the small side but functional...

Everything was nice, great and fairly quiet location only a block off of the craziness of bourbon street. Helpful staff, but Glenn at the door was THE BEST. Friendly, knowledgeable, good at his job. The rooms were fairly basic and clean.

Stayed here the 2nd week in May 2017 for 5 nights. We arrived quite early on our first day due to flight times from Washington DC so our room wasn't ready. No problems though as our bags were put in a secure room and we went for a walk about for a couple of hours. If you are staying here...

A really great base when exploring the French Quarter on foot, or city on public transport. Twin bedroom (big beds) was comfortable, quiet - facing the side street towards the river - spacious, clean and had both a safe and coffee maker (we used our own tea bags in it). Staff we met were all helpful and chatty. The pool...

Dear Valued Guest: Thank you for the nice review of my hotel. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us despite the issue with the size of the lobby and restaurant. Thanks again for your feedback, we hope to see you again the next time you visit New Orleans.

Went to the Wyndham for my birthday. The location is perfect in the French Quarter. Easy to get around. The room was great and the bed very comfortable. They have a very nice indoor heated pool. The room did not have a refrigerator so brining back any leftover meals is not an option. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
