Paid for executive suite and website pictures indicated that bedroom was separated by a door to rest of suite. That was not the case and hotel staff indicated they had no rooms with such a design. Fold out couch for kids was directly next to AC unit. Thus, couldn't run the AC because it was too cold for anyone sitting... More

The hotel is well located in the French Quarters, the rooms was very clean and the staff was very helpful and pleasant, doesn't offer breakfast so you have to buy food in the adjacent restaurant wish is little bit over price, i like the fact that has a valet parking and is usually 50% off when you reserve in advance... Nice hotel in the middle of the action. Near stores, restaurants, the trolley line, etc...Good price. Would be better if the had a fridge in the room, but if you want one you have to pay for it. In general good for de price.

Very nice hotel in the French Quarter. Close to everything, but far enough away from the chaos. Very friendly and attentive staff

We stayed there for 5 days and everything was great. The room was spacious and clean, we had a great view over the Mississippi River. The room was well taken care of, room service cleaned the room every day. They have a nice pool on the 10th floor. We stayed on 18th floor.

Reluctant to stay but did so anyways for 3 nights. Room was far better than I thought it would be except for the loud ac/heater unit. Never saw the room cleaning crew but was charged a $15 fee each day. Luckily i was provided enough towels and etc from the start but the $15 a day fee is straight bs.... More

The Wyndham is an older hotel but very well located for all activities in New Orleans. Being on Royal Street makes exploring the French Quarter's music venues a breeze with Bourbon Street running parallel and it's an easy walk to the river to catch the jazz cruises. There's a Walgreens on the corner, bottle shops, heaps of souvenir type stores,... More

If you rent a car, parking is over $40 per night. There is no break since it is not owned by Wyndham. Everything else was great...location is excellent, one block from Bourbon Street so it's quiet but close to action. We had a leak in our shower that soaked the rug in our room...they were very professional, timely, and they... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
