This is a quite, clean and pleasant hotel. In a very good location, quick access to the street car as well as Bourbon St. Professional and courteous staff. The court yard is a great place to use as a breath catcher from the chaos of bourbon st. Sip on a drink or have a snack prior to heading onto you...

Overall experience was good but the lady at the concierge could have been a lot nicer. She acted like she did not want to be at work. I asked her the fastest way to the French market and I regretted talking to her. All the other people were nice and courteous...from the valet guys (who were really nice and helpful)...

We stayed on Bourbon Street but walked over as someone suggested the jazz room. We were not disappointed, the room is large with a band area with dance floor. It was all you would expect at this property, also had a nice courtyard with seating.

The Ritz New Orleans is a beautiful hotel. The courtyard was one of my favorite features, and I spent many mornings getting work done with a delicious cup of coffee in the wonderfully appointed area. The staff is impeccable. Everyone is incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly. I felt relaxed and comfortable during the entire stay. The location is great. You...

The hotel is in a great location and the service is Ruth Carlton quality but this hotel needs updating. The hallways are old and dirty. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. Great fitness center and spa.

40th anniversary - perfect experience at The Ritz! From the time of arrival to departing, the staff was so personal & caring. They had Rose peddles from the door thru our the room. Heart shaped rose peddles on the bed. The Club level was fabulous.

I got a couple massage a facial and 2 mani pedi. I spent well over 1k. This is the most expensive mani-pedi you can buy and I left the spa and had to go around the corner to get my nail done! Literally you could not tell my nails were cut and the cuticles were completely untouched!

Very lovely, great staff. Had a pedicure and it was amazing. Walked/trolley over to magazine area, not worth it. I would stick with the plantations( that I wanted to do) but hotel suggest this area. And I visited the the #1 cemetery. It's been 20 years since I have been here, and I must say, it was very beautiful. Something...

Excellent Hotel. Wonderful Staff. Great Location at the edge of the French Quarter. Would absolutely stay here again. Great band in the lounge. Room was good with great view. Most impressive was the staff who went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed five nights and would go back.

Staff is friendly, but this site does not live up to the hype or reputation of staying at a Ritz-Carlton. My room was not cleaned / serviced for two straight days, not by my choice. Additionally the room carpeting was so dirty that the bottom of my bare feet were black from walking around in my room. When in NOLA,...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
