My wife and I visit New Orleans each year and we always stay at the New Orleans Ritz Carton Hotel on Canal Street. This hotel is in just the right location, has exceptional rooms which are just right and perfectly maintained, a very good restaurant, wonderful staff people who help with any problem and make it seem they enjoy doing...

I love the Ritz chain and this one was the most beautiful by far; however, the location is less than ideal is travelling with children. The homeless population is very high in this area and you cannot walk 5 feet without being asked (and followed) for money over and over and over.

We really enjoyed the singing and the lounge area. The atmosphe was set and ready. Everyone served with joy and excellence. We will be back soon. Special thanks to the security team for finding and mailing my wallet to me.

I stayed here for 5 days during NADA last month. I appreciated the refined, calm atmosphere that contrasted with busy Convention Center interactions and social engagements. Room décor was a bit dated but okay within the historic nature of the property. Main lobby, meeting spaces, outdoor courtyard were beautiful, and I loved the in-house floral displays. Utilizing two sets of...

Highly recommend this hotel. Stayed there for NBA Allstar Weekend/Mardi Gras. Stay in Club level area of hotel which offered meals, snacks, drinks and valet included in price. This was literally all inclusive accommodations and the staff was extremely attentive. It was worth every penny.

First time in New Orleans and first time staying at a Ritz-Carlton property. I was literally one and a half blocks from Bourbon Street. Was able to walk to all of the local watering holes and many local restaurants. Next time I go to New Orleans, Ritz-Carlton will be my choice. Great job by all employees during my stay.

Booked this for a romantic travel weekend in New Orleans to enjoy upcoming Mardi Gras celebrations. My reservation was not as booked and I ended up with two double beds even though I checked in on the mobile app early! So much for gold status and service! Room was clean but a bit worn down, particularly the bathroom (cracks and...

Traveling the USA for 1 month this is an exceptional hotel, just like Mary Poppins perfect in every way. We moved on and stayed at another "luxury" Hotel which paled in comparison. Would recommend the Ritz-Crlton New Orleans, Walking distance to shops and attractions .

From bellman to bartenders this hotel had it all together. Friendly staff made this experience more than we anticipated. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. Walking distance to most local attractions as well.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
