I would stay away from this place. Awful experience. The staff was friendly manager named Jermie Humphries was very inexperienced with very little patience. ------------ Will be staying at a nicer hotel close by known as the q&C next time.

When we first walked in to check in, we weren't greeted or offered any assistance. Valet and the two woman at the desk just stood around talking to each other. After getting checked into our room, our AC kept making a loud buzzing noise, we tried to ignore it but we could hear it over the tv and was still...

Was a pretty standard Courtyard Marriott. I wasn't thrilled with the mattress (felt like it needs replacing) but it was comfortable enough for a night. We were on the top (6th) floor and didn't hear any significant street noise (of course this was a random Wednesday night...no idea what it'd be like on the weekend). Room was clean, staff was...

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel...2nd floor balcony room, friendly staff who went above and beyond in order to make our stay so nice! We especially want to thank Rafid (mgr) and Brittney Dennis (operations supervisor). We loved the care we were shown by them, their professionalism, their recommendations for restaurants and tours and their genuine kindness...

We only stayed for one night after our cruise but wish we could have stayed more. Check in was smooth. We requested an early check in which is $25 but when we arrive there were no king beds available. The desk rep took my number and was going to call us once a room was available. We were able to...

Arrived 8pm on a Friday evening. To park, just pull up outside the front door as there's valet parking, $38 per day or $38 for self parking so valet one is a no brainier. Convenient as well. Title says, great location, it is. Right by the French Quarter and a 10 minute walk down to the riverboat pier. So, centrally...

We spent five enjoyable nights at this hotel in early December 2016. The hotel is in a great location just outside the French quarter. The stop for the St Charles streetcar line to the garden district is just across the street, the stop for the Canal streetcar to the City Park is a half a block away, Bourbon Street is...

The location was great for visiting the French Quarter. Lobby was nice and staff extremely friendly and helpful. I did not realize I had booked an interior room whose only window has a view of the interior of the hotel. A bit small but seemed nice until I walked into the bathroom and noticed the large amount of paint peeling...

Stayed for a few days June 30-July 2. Was hot in the city but the hotel was nice and cool. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean and nicely appointed. The location was perfect because with kids (16 and 11) I didn't want to stay in the French Quarter with all of its craziness. This was a short walk...

Located across Canal St from the French quarter. Older building converted into a Courtyard. Has the new Bistro food (nuked) and bar. We have stayed here before and this a the Marriott down Canal St are the best location for touring especially if you are a rewards member.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
