Great hotel, excellent location, friendly efficient staff, great bar and the convenience of good breakfast with many options to help start the day. Room was well appointed and very clean. Bathroom was a little too small and the half shower door was a big negative. I always felt cold in the shower.

I wound consider myself a very hard to please picky person. With that being said, this hotel has the perfect location, nice rooms with friendly and honest staff. I left a valuable necklace out while housekeeping was in my room, it was there when I got back :)

Beautiful hotel just around the corner from the French quarter, so excellent for locality but also surprisingly tranquil. The bar serves excellent wine, so if the basic options from the quarter don't hit the spot, the bar in this hotel will. There was an issue with the air conditioning unit during my stay, which although reported to the maintenance person... More

When choosing our hotel for New Orlean I did a lot of research and was so glad that we went with The Hotel Le Marais. The hotel itself is modern and clean and the location is unbeatable. We were able to walk everywhere but it it was far enough away from Bourbon Street that it wasn't noisy at night. Totally... More

Need more towel racks in the bathroom, and you need to provide more variety of breakfast items and fruits, plus non-pork meats like chicken apple sausages for folks whom do not want to consume or whom can not consume pork.

I went through Google to find a good location in the French Quarter knowing that I will not rent a car, Hotel Le Marais is the spot! Best location to browse, walk and listen street bands all over the french Quarter. Breakfast is totally acceptable, and our room was just perfect and seemed to be sound proof. Nothing to complain.

Great hotel and the staff couldn't have been nicer and so helpful.Such a great location in the French Quarter and can walk everywhere. Very quiet even being so convenient to Bourbon St. Loved the charm of the hotel, bar, and courtyard. Breakfast was very sufficient and good, too!Would definitely go back and stay there again!

Our visit was very comfortable. Very quiet and cozy, delightful breakfast, serviceable gym and friendly staff. Too bad for us that the pool was out-of-service and there was a problem with our room's door that we had to make certain to positively close the door, else it would stay open and pose a security risk. Aside from those flubs, all... More

Overall, the Hotel Le Marais lived up to its positive reviews. It's located on Conti Street (between Bourbon and Royal). Even though it's less than a block from the craziness of Bourbon, Conti Street is fairly unassuming, and it's relatively quiet around the hotel. That being said, I would definitely recommend a room facing the inner courtyard if you have... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
