My girlfriend invited me for a last minute, much needed girls' trip. New Orleans is so charming but we almost had to force ourselves to leave the property because we were spoiled rotten by the staff! First of all, this hotel has the BEST products I ever tried at a hotel! They are not watery or too harsh and they...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I spent a birthday weekend at the amazing Le Meridien New Orleans. I believe I had stayed here once before when it was a W hotel and the change and renovation to the Le Meridien is a vast improvement. Due to the flights in I had scheduled, I didn't get a chance to spend too much time in the hotel,...

My husband and I took a weekend trip with our fav couple to New Orleans. The plan included a day at the pool. The pool at this hotel is super tiny and the area to layout is awkward and small. The rest of the hotel was great, nice size rooms, amazing staff and we loved the locked courtyard we were...

The people here hold customer satisfaction at the highest level. Kevin, the host in the lobby, is the example for all to replicate. His welcoming demeanor and truly empathetic attitude keeps me coming back to SPG, but also the fine city of New Orleans. The hotel should be named after him! Great ambassador!

When traveling back home solo I like try different places if a deal, so decided to stay here the second time in about 2 years. Since I always use AMEX to travel both for biz and pleasure, the Fine Hotels and Resorts' rate and benefits were too good to pass up since short trip home for Easter. Quick welcome by...

The Good: 1. The hotel is situated in a central location to French Quarters (8 blocks) and Art/Warehouse district (2 blocks). 2. Hotel has nice modern vibe. 3. Strong A/C, too strong at times. 4. Clean bathroom The Bad: 1. Check in desk person seemed preoccupied with other matters and not giving full focus to customer. I felt rushed because...

Hotel is great, right there with our expectation. Who is above all is Mr. Lawrence Lee, The Concierge. Made us feel at home in New Orleans. This gentleman is a great pro and a real human bean. Thanks Lawrence.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel during our recent visit to NOLA. Overall it is a decent hotel with a nice lobby, good service and decent rooms. At times, the rooms did feel kind of small for two people and I have definitely bigger deluxe rooms at Hotels! The hotel is also conveniently located from the French Quarter...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
