Having stayed at a number of places in the French Quarter, our group discovered the jewel known as Audubon Cottages. Excellent accommodations which are not to be outdone by the superb staff including Maria, Brian, Jeff, Gloria, Alfred, Josh, and Courtney. After a day of shopping or festing, the Cottages are a wonderful oasis complete with a private courtyard and...

The charming accommodations are only excelled by the wonderful service staff of butlers who are at your disposal 24/7. The Cottages are quiet and comfortable yet highly convenient to the city - especially the French Quarter.

Audubon Cottages is a rare find - just a block from Bourbon Street but you'd never know it from the quiet, secluded feel. Old World ambiance and top-notch, 24-our butler service make it a very appealing option. Your stay includes breakfast and non-alcoholic beverages in a cottage that has the feel of home rather than a hotel. I'd like to...

Our group travels to NOLA annually (for the last 11 years) and we have stayed at several of the top-rated facilities in the FQ. Simply stated, Audubon Cottages is the BEST amongst them. The hotel itself is lovely and well maintained, and the staff is unequaled in their attention to guests and to every detail. A great property with fantastic...

We had a wonderful Easter stay at the Audobon Cottages, a little green oasis in the middle of the French Quarters. Even before our arrival, the staff had been wonderful about organizing our visit - recommending & reserving restaurants & tours. During our stay, the staff was consistently charming and attentive to every detail insuring our stay was perfect. Thank...

We took a couple of two bedroom suites to accommodate our family and it was perfect! The suites were cool with living rooms to meet and comfortable bedrooms. The location is superb! The pool in the courtyard was perfect for the kids. Old world charm with modern conveniences.

EdStory, As romantic and mystifying as the property is, there is perhaps a tendency to overlook its potential for families. Seclusion from the commotion of the city combined with the open layout of the courtyards and cottages within the property make for a perfect family getaway--safe, intimate, comfortable... We're glad you all liked it. See you next time!!

The hotel has no formal lobby but rather a simple gate from Dauphine St that you can open with your room key, entering a tunnel of greenery giving onto the main, pool patio. Smaller courtyards branch off the main patio, each with a gated archway entrance. The cottages open off these smaller courtyards. We stayed in cottage #7,which shares a...

Staff was generous and welcoming. Great suggestions for activities - including a terrific customized historic tour (504 Experiences). Cottages were lovely. Pool was inviting - hard to leave - cannot beat the location. And there was a supermodel AND a rock star staying there. What more can I say?

Dear Steinford, We try to make sure there are always supermodels and rockstars wandering the premises--it really improves the aesthetic. (I kid.) We're glad you enjoyed it, though. It's a special place with a real tendency to capture hearts. Glad you enjoyed your city tour, too. Come back and see us again soon!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
