We come to NO about 3 times a year.Always try to book this hotel first.Great location and still close to Bourbon Street.A safe walk to the hotel at night.Rooms are very nice and big.Its close to the action but far away enough so you can sleep.Booked hotels on Bourbon Street before and never could sleep with the noise.

Very diverse in quality and types of shops and restaurants which is not always positive. Good idea to ask a hotel concierge for recommendations. Vibrant with culture but inconsistent quality in establishments and food quality.

I had a fantastic experience while staying at this hotel. I got the double king suite, and it was fantastic. My favorite feature of the room was that you could totally close off the back part of the suite with a gorgeous sliding barn door. The staff was very friendly and house keeping did an excellent job. There is no...

I've stayed at this hotel a few times and each time has been great. The rooms are nice, clean and up to date. The beds are super comfortable. It is connected to the Ritz Carlton so you can use their gym and pool for a fee. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is in a great location so there...

I stayed at this hotel last week while attending a business Conference in New Orleans. Our marketing department made the arrangements so I didn't personally choose this hotel myself. It was not within walking distance of the convention center but it was within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and night life. It was conveniently located one block off Canal Street....

Very convenient to many of the best restaurants, Bourbon Street and the street car. Easily walkable and very safe. Very large room/sitting room and quite clean. Quiet as well. Extremely helpful, courteous staff. Try the Davenport Lounge in the Ritz which can be accessed from the hotel lobby - great experience and the Jazz group was really good. Would happily...

We stayed here for two nights for my first trip to New Orleans and were happy with our hotel choice. The rooms were spacious & updated. They are set up as a suite which is nice, with a sliding door to the bedroom. We had sofa and a wet bar too. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is really...

The hotel has a GREAT location right in the middle of everything! It's very clean and the staff is very friendly. We felt very safe, no random people wandering around. I would absolutely stay there again! I still hate the breakfast situation but love the Starbucks option, FYI.

Excellent location within the French Quarter. Just a couple of blocks from Bourbon street and a short walk to Jackson square. Staff is extremely accommodating and the rooms are large and very modern. We went to New Orleans for a getaway but only got to stay 1 night. Our kids ended up sick and we had to leave unexpectedly. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. The only complaint was the valet service. DO NOT use the valet. When we got home I noticed huge scratches down the front passenger...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
