We ended up moving from the Marriott on Canal St to this location at the last minute before our stay, and I am so glad we switched! The other location was busy with a conference and couldn't accommodate our rooming needs. I have stayed at that location before, but this Marriott will now be my go-to when wanting to stay...

We stayed here one night on the way from the East Coast to Texas. It was a bit of a challenge to find it as several streets were closed for repairs. The valets were very friendly and fast. The room was perfect for our family of 5. Two king beds that were separated by a door. We didn't spend much...

The front desk never had a long line to check in, ask random questions, or check out. They don't have free breakfast, but they do offer Starbucks coffee. The location is perfection for anything you want to do as it's located in the French quarter and 2 blocks from Bourbon. The room was a suite, and it had a door...

We selected this property for its location near all tourist venues in New Orleans. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. During this weekend the hotel was completely booked and so there was a lot of activity in the hotel but none of it caused any issues during our stay. Internet service was free and worked great. Only...

Enjoyed the amenities of this hotel in the French Quarter. We were upgraded to a nice suite...not much of a view but the room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The front desk staff and parking attendants were VERY helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was good but it was difficult to park or valet due to its proximity to the corner. The room was clean and quiet. Unfortunately the elevators were not functioning correctly during the busies time of the morning.

Being a front desk agent I always expect great customer service... This was a last minute stay and I was in a rush to check in. I called ahead of time to get a few things in order. The agent Crystal answered my phone call and was very helpful and was eager to answer every question I asked. Upon arrival,...

Staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was not ready so we waited in the lobby, which was big and very relaxing with individual booths with private tv's. After about 1 1/2 hrs I asked how much longer and at that point the lady offered to upgrade us for the wait. Hotel was updated and clean. Great location. Would...

Great hotel in a great location for going to the French Quarter. Room was very nice, clean and spacious. Parking is convenient, valet service directly across the street. The only negative was that we were promised a "city view", but the only view was the windows of the room across the courtyard.

LOVED this hotel. I stayed in a King guestroom for one night (Thursday) until my family came in. We were all staying in the Marriott on Canal St. Well, I did not want to leave this hotel after the one night. The room was large. Loved the huge glass shower and sitting room. This hotel makes the big sister Marriott...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
