The hotel was in a great location to walk to all the places I attended. I found the room clean, spacious for my needs and relaxing. Sound was a slight problem at night but I also only had a 4th floor room.

Wonderful stay. Earl working front desk helped with reservations at local restaurants and was excellent with his suggestions. My colleague was also impressed with the hotel and the service Earl provided.

I never stay in hotels when I come back home because there are non that i think are worth the money. Boy was I wrong this time. I was there for a week for a friends wedding and was very familiar with the hotel itself but had never stayed nor did I know what to expect. I was certainly impressed...

You are close to everything you would want to see in NOLA. Very neat old bank turned hotel. You are close enough to walk to all the attractions but you are also right next to the RTA pickup. Clean hotel

Nice location. Nice interior quality - design,. cleanliness, etc. Was not a noisy or rowdy place (good). My main dissatisfaction is with the small lobby and other public spaces. The restaurant and bar seemed under staffed and were closed half the day. I liked the hotel but I think I might consider staying somewhere else next trip.

Wonderful hotel that really felt like New Orleans set i old bank building. Staff were friendly beyond compare. Our room was like a suite (corner room), clean and comfy plus great location. We did not eat or drink at hotel as it seemed quiet compared to nearby Bourbon Street. Come here though for a slice of NOLA at its best!

Beds and bathroom were cleaned each day. The included breakfast was very good with a good selection of bread,Danish, fruit etc. plenty of Tea and...

An enjoyable stay at The Whitney Hotel. The hotel is centrally located and very clean but it is the staff that stand out especially Chase at reception and Joanne in the dining room. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
