What a beautiful place to stay! The rooms are sleek, and super sexy. The bathroom was probably my most favorite. Shower essentials smelled and felt true quality. The dinner was amazing, missed breakfast, and being treated to the tourist package was awesome. Can't wait to visit again.

Room was a bit small for a full week stay. Very clean and comfortable. Great location, close to downtown and trollies. Good housekeeping services daily. Wifi in room and TV. Poor view from our room. Affordable.

I spent 7 nights at the Hotel Modern over the 2nd weekend of Jazzfest17 and think this place should be regarded as a cult favourite. Firstly, the hotel is situated in a an iconic, stylish art deco building in a picturesque location. The location is a great fit for those who desire to be just out of earshot of the...

This hotel is on Lee circle right by the street car stop. It's very easy to hop on and get anywhere you want to go. It's next to the WW11 and Confederate Museum which everyone should see. The breakfast is free with all the usual items. The rooms are adequate and you couldn't expect more for the price ... The...

Hotels were expensive the weekend we were going to NOLA but the Hotel Modern was very inexpensive which had me hesitant. I'm so glad I booked! Hotel was revamped with chic modern designs and furniture. It was also super quiet. I actually didn't see many guests around until breakfast (which is complimentary). I got the "Large Room" but it was...

We stayed here last week and unfortunately our stay was tarnished as they took 1050 Euro from our account even though Kyle had told us only 50$ would be taken. Unfortunately this money has still not been returned to our card. As far as sorting the situation, the concierge and another woman who's name I never managed to get were...

We stayed here one night before leaving on a cruise. We looked around but most hotel rates were high due to it being a weekend. The reviews were decent and rate of 150 wasn't too bad. Lobby was nice and check in was smooth. They offer a free breakfast which is nice. We went to our room and it was...

I ran into travel delays on route to New Orleans and the staff were tremendously accommodating and helpful. Had a really lovely stay here. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Location is really great - right next to the WWII museum and an easy walk to Canal Street and the French Quarter.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
