The hotel website is misleading in my opinion. Valet Parking. No. They say they have valet but when we checked in we're told no longer. Bar. That is gone too. There are pictures on their website of a bar and patrons being served. Sorry folks, the bar is closed and the moose up front should have told you. Bellman. Nope....

Where to start? One of the worst hotels we've ever stated in. The room was small, and very shabby. When we arrived we found a pair of women's panties on the floor in the room (yuk! that gives you an idea of the cleaning standard!) There was a constant droning noise from the ventilation system, but this was drowned out...

The front desk is friendly and helpful. The meeting room is nice. The cater service they use has amazing food. Convenience location to different restaurant, to pharmacy and Fedex, super market( all less than 10 mins walk.) only bad side is the small queen room size is just enough for sleep which is OK. The bed is comfortable, the house...

Overall this is an OK hotel, rooms are small, furnished with modern (but still cheap) furniture, buts it's a great location for the WW2 museum and not far from the quarter so all in all an OK value for the money.

Located on Lee Circle, it is close to the National WWII Museum and access to the St. Charles Trolley. Many good restaurants within walking distance. Only complaint was the bed was 'modern', therefore low. A little difficult to get out of in the morning.

Very basic place. As noted in other reviews, small rooms. Decor seems to come from garage sales. The furniture,a small desk and 2 drawer chest, was scratched, splintered and seemed to have been rescued from the curb. The bed was one mattress on a frame that exceeded the mattress by a few inches. No counter space in bath. No vending...

If you get this hotel for under $130 it might be worth it just because of the location. Otherwise, spend the money on a better place. The rooms are old and musky smelling, mattress lays on a wood pallet and the breakfast was stale each morning. They allow dogs so there was one across from our room that barked anytime...

We thought this hotel was very basic. Good value because during peak times NOLA hotel prices sky rocket. We chose this hotel so my black lab could stay with us. They have a nice pet policy, not too expensive. Service was poor. There was always a wait to check in/out. The restaurant was constantly out of everything for breakfast- we...

I probably would not stay here again. The location is decent as it's a straight shot on the RTA (trolley) to the French Quarter. It's a bit far to walk 1+ mile but the train picks up at Lee Circle so that's convenient. The hotel is a bit tired. They don't seem to keep it up. The AC in the...

Clean rooms and friendly staff at check in...got the room on an express deal from Priceline and agree with their 3 star rating (good hotel for price) True to NOLAs nature, hotel had issues with humidity which is why they struggled with mold in shower area (ceiling). Hotel tried going for a modern look in their paint...They used a matte...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
