1st time at this hotel, 30th time in this city. I just don't get this hotel. Rooms are small amenities are terrible, low cleanliness score, not well maintained and very poor breakfast, nothing stocked not even coffee an hr into a 3 hr breakfast service. I'd say there was some value but the nightly charge is NOT a deal. If...

Funky atmosphere. Friendly staff! Well located. Breakfast could have been run better. Coffee service in room not as described in hotel information. Front desk said each cup would cost $2, although hotel info said it would be provided free.

We stayed one night at this hotel and loved how centrally located it was. Walking distance to the French Quarter or the Garden District. The trolley stop is just outside the door which is very convenient too. The rooms are clean and simple, but lets face it, you're in New Orleans, you're not there to hang out in your hotel...

The hotel overall was average. We booked the room through Groupon for a 4 night stay. There were six of us in the group for a total of 4 rooms. All of our room faced out to Lee Circle. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Noteworthy: The location was close to streetcar stops ($1.25 per person each way, exact change...

This hotel is dated and shabby; service virtually non-existent (and disinterested), rooms stark and not well cleaned or maintained. Parking is $36 per day. But it's in a great location -the trolley picks up right outside the door and it's about a 10 block walk to the French Quarter. So if you get the room for super cheap and don't...

Ill start with the good things: it is 20 minutes walk from the French Quarter, and the trolley also takes you there. It is also close to the convention center. Rooms are basic but clean and functional. The team is friendly. There is complimentary breakfast and reasonable parking solutions. But One morning, they didn't wake up to serve breakfast. It...

We booked this room off Groupon. Overall the hotel was fine. No major complaints. The bed was very nosey but comfy. Just turning over would rock the bed. The head board was scuffed. The toiletries were fancy but mounted to the wall except the one bar soap that was not replaced. The website advertises a free drink upon arrival, which...

Thanks to Bluegreen Vacations we were given this wonderful free trip to New Orleans which of course, wasn't free at all. We ended up paying about $100.00 per night to stay in a room that felt more like a prison cell. The window was so small and so high up that you had to stand on tip toes to see...

Just checked into the Hotel Modern. The interior is as bland and uninteresting as the exterior. The room is incredibly tiny and the so-called Queen bed is a double and sinks. It's a depressing place. I was told all the rooms were about the same. I am very tempted to take the extreme loss on the exorbitant price we paid...

We stayed her for 2 nights and had a good experience. Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
