The location is perfect. In the quiet end of the French quarter and walking distance from everything. The cafe served great breakfast and lunch. Rooms were large and clean. No complaints. We will be back.

I was home in New Orleans this September to attend the Navy vs. Tulane football game. I chose not to stay at my mother’s house in favor of hanging with my friends and laying our heads at the Richelou Hotel. The Richelou is like every other historic hotel in the French Quarter. It is old and in need of a...

The good: great location. Nice easy walk to both Frenchman St. and around the French Quarter. Quiet part of the Quarter, nice if you are with kids. The staff was friendly and wanted to help. The Bad: We saved some money staying here but it showed when it came to amenities. The rooms are very dated (think 1970's), the rooms...

We stayed here for four nights and had a suite on the fourth floor overlooking the courtyard. While I did miss having a balcony, this was a spacious room which made up for the balcony. Everyone here is friendly and pleasant. There is a small bar to grab a cocktail and coffee in the lobby. We didn't eat at the...

My mother and I stayed at the hotel and we're both very happy with especially the service from Randall who were very helpful to us both. Also the location is perfect! Away from all the noice, but still in walking distance to the major attractions. It's a very charming hotel and you feel very at home. Lovely breakfast!

This location is less than a 1 mile interesting walk to many sites. It is close to Bourbon Street, Royal, Canal, etc... but without the hustle and noise. It is very close to the park with its interesting art, and a quick walk to the river. It has a quiet little pool area where it is nice to catch up...

We discovered this gem while on a ghost tour a few months ago. Our guide Cindy brought us in for a drink break. It is perfectly charming, not your cookie cutter chain hotel. The staff was friendly and our bartender Brian was fantastic. I loved the atmosphere, the pool and they serve a really nice breakfast and lunch in the...

We arrived to a beautiful old building. My wife had to drive around the block while reservations were confirmed. Parking was very private but right next to hotel. Rooms were dated but very clean. We shared an omelette from the kitchen; which was very good. Location was great for roaming the streets day or night.i was impressed.

We had a smaller room on the first floor. I was very skeptical at first about street noise being a problem but was pleasantly surprised! Great helpful staff and small intimate friendly bar. Great experience, can't wait to get back to NOLA.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
