Live the hotel! Great location! & the front desk & hospitality was amazing! Rosay at the front desk helped us plan our stay, gave us suggestions on places to go & to eat. She was amazing. I will definitely be returning

Upon arrival we found out there wasn't any valet service or parking available when I had expected to be able to even at the high rate of $40. I was told to find public parking nearby. I also book this hotel because it said it had balconys which weren't open as well as the pool area. I didn't expect to...

It was our fault that we arrived during a big parade on Canal Street but it took us 45 minutes to get across the street. Mardi Gras is quite an event. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed. Our room was fine but expensive for what it was.

Went for Mardi Gras. The room was small but perfect for our needs with an awesome view of canal street. Perfect location with everything we wanted to see and experience with in walking distance! Noises from the street are loud but I don't know how the could have prevented it or fixed that problem. Over all a great place for...

Check in was quick, we only had to wait a few minutes. Our room was nice, clean and spacious. We had a deluxe room, 2 queen beds. Beds were comfortable. The hotel is very nice. We were very happy with our accommodations and housekeeping. The location is perfect ( corner of Bourbon and Canal). Now the things that I was...

Wanted to eat foods and visit places we had not been back to in years. The Astor Crowne Plaza was a really nice hotel. Great location. Staff very helpful. Rooms very clean. We were able to walk to everywhere. Also watched an early Mardi Gras parade that passed right in front of hotel.

Came here for Mardi Gras. The room was spacious and very clean. MOST of the staff was friendly. We booked this place because of the balcony overlooking canal st so we could watch the parades. Little did we know it was "reserved" the entire time we were there. When we went to go throw beads off the side balcony Saturday...

Very disappointed in this hotel. I'm a platinum member and they stuck me in what seems like a broom closet with the worst view ever. The hotel is on Bourbon street and they give me this crappy view and tell me I can't even go out on the balcony. It's safe to say I will never stay at this hotel...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
