The house was beautiful. We stayed in the third floor he first night and then moved across the street to the apartment. Both were immaculately clean. The decor was just fabulous! It was very homey needless to Say. The hospitality was just wonderful And the location was perfect!! There isn't one negative thing to say about this B&B. I promise...

My wife and I stayed with Terrell House for Mardi Gras 2017. The location gave us easy access to the Uptown parade route as well as the French Quarter. Breakfast was different each morning and very tasty. We would stay again.

Very comfortable and great food. The courtyard was a peaceful escape while planning the next adventure in New Orleans. During Mardi Gras, it is close to the parade route on St Charles. And Magazine Street is a great place to walk along checking out the interesting stores and restaurants.

Our family of three, which included our 1 year old, spent 2 comfortable nights in the B&B's carriage house. We occupied the main floor of the building, which has the semblance of a small 2 bed/ 1 bath apartment. The accommodations were ideal for us, as it allowed our son to have his own room to sleep in, while providing...

Beautiful B & B in the Lower Garden District. Quiet neighborhood but close enough to the French Quarter or the boutiques and galleries along Magazine Street. Coliseum Park was right behind us on the next street. Beautiful old live oaks lined the park. A cute coffee shop called Mojo Coffee was only a block away and of course way better...

Innkeeper most helpful pre-visit, main house and courtyard so beautifully appointed and maintained, guest rooms very comfortably and tastefully furnished, cozy, clean, guests' needs well thought out and addressed (extra towels, bottled water, wifi, etc) beautiful, formal breakfast table spread (the food was delicious though a bit rich). Staff was pleasant, friendly and accommodating. We did miss the innkeeper's presence/availability...

For our purposes, Terrell House was perfect. Close to our venue, free parking right outside our door, quiet, clean and comfortable. We stayed at the Creole house across from the main house. Fridge was kept stocked with bottles of water, sodas and coffee. Breakfast in the main house was prompt and delicious. But we also had our own kitchen with...

The room was nice and clean. The coffeepot in the nook area did not work properly but it was not a problem since we could walk across the street and get coffee already made. The parking was scarce. We had to park on the busy side street.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.

“The larger rooms are a bit pricier, but they include gorgeous balconies and make you feel like royalty. If you can afford to, the extra cost is totally worth it:)”

“We had the "bridal suite" upstairs at corner of Magazine and Euterpe. This suite has everything one could want, including a multiple places to sit (!) including a large, comfortable porch overlooking Magazine. Amazingly, there was almost no street noise. Loved the dressing area with large vanity, too.”
