I visited NOLA and I stayed at the Hyatt. The staff was very attentive. Lobby area was beautiful. The room(630) needs updating. The furniture appeared dated. The mirrored glass on bathroom sink had peeled. Heat and air unit was noisy. The TV did not always have a signal and it would not show the TV guide. I asked for a...

Overall a good stay but could have been better in housekeeping and outdated furniture. The furniture was worn and outdated and should reflect the prices being paid for room service, incidentals etc. Housekeeping did not vacuum the room for the four days that were there.

No hot water for the two showers, no bath tub. Nothing in our room worked, we were "upgraded" to a room with a view which meant cement rooftops and the super dome. Not my idea of a view. I think they just wanted our two beds. The fridge was not cold. The radio did not work. The elevator system is...

Always a pleasant stay at the Hyatt. From the front desk to the food or the live music all adds to the great experience. Whenever I am in need of a hotel in downtown New Orleans the Hyatt is the place for me. I am a satisfied customer.

Stephanie Jordan was a must see entertainer in the lounge bar on the 3rd level on both Friday and Saturday evenings...a wonderful time listened to intently by all in attendance...what a beautiful entertainer!!

The Hyatt Regency is very big, but very confusing and lacking on details. We are here for business, but finished early and went to the Vitascope bar for drinks and to watch the Green Bay vs. Dallas playoff game. Two beers in, they tell my husband they are out of the beer he is drinking. (Miller Lite - really???) The...

Do not stay here. The door to my room did not lock someone tried to enter my room early in the morning. The bartender also charged more than I was billed. Lastly the towels in the bathroom were dirty. Please don't stay here for your own safety and the safety of your money.

We stayed here four nights for a jazz ed convention. It was very nice and enjoyable. We booked a club level room and thus had a lot of food needs met there. We even made dinner there twice during their appetizer time frame. The breakfast was good with hot grits and real oatmeal at all times. The coffee maker was...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
