We stayed at the Moxy for a week to visit New Orleans. POSITIVES Rooms appeared clean Good location to French quarter Good bar and cocktails NEGATIVES Service was very sporadic. Bar staff checking you in don't really have a clue about hotel service. Room service was extremely sporadic, at best the bed was made and that was about it. Sink...

Hey there Dan2006, Thank you so much for your review - we really appreciate your feedback and take it very seriously. We clearly missed some marks during your stay, both basic and conceptual. We are so sorry your stay was less than extraordinary - that's not what we are about. If you feel so inclined, please reach out to me...

Stayed here between Christmas and New Years. Hip place, so my kids enjoyed it. Checking in at the bar, can be rather hectic. Rooms were simple, but adequate. After we checked in and went to our room, we found it had not been finished. They were quick to bring up towels. Would recommend for families and it was especially nice...

Absolutely loved my stay. The hotel is hip providing customers with their signature drink "The Moxy" upon arrival. Check-in is at the bar. Decore is bright and colorful. Close enough to Bourbon St, and far enough to escape the madness. Perfect for couples, girl's trip, not necessarily family, but I did see a few children.

We visit New Orleans about once a year and wanted to try a trendy hotel. As a Marriott member I was offered a great rate and jumped on it. The decor is wavy and the bar/staff were nice. This is where the good ended. The area by the elevators smelled like a dirty foot factory, the food served is over...

I chose the Moxy during its grand opening week. As a loyal Marriott Rewards member I was interigued by this new brand that I assumed to be simular to Aloft. However, as we are in our late forties, I found some of the amenities really nice, such as the smart TVs (that really didn't work until our last day) and...

Good Morning, It is my pleasure to inform the management of the MOXY about the service provided to me at the MOXY French Quarter. When I entered the lobby I was greeted with such a pleasant smile and service that resembled the service at any 5 star hotel. The staff at your front desk took the time to listen to...

Very hip hotel but not great when it comes to the amenities. The room was nice but there were no comfortable chairs. The bed was ok. I did wake up with a killer backache but I have back issues. First, I probably had the best night's sleep I've had since I've been visiting New Orleans. Second, the room layout was really great, as were the amenities. I can't speak highly enough of the staff either. The only downside my colleagues and I experienced was it is further from dinner spots than a few other hotels. Aside from that, fantastic....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
