Stayed here two nights. We reserved the tiny room with no view, so we weren't surprised to be in a very tiny room. Bed was fine, but very odd blue lighting is used throughout the hotel, so it's very hard to see in the room!...More

My sister in law wanted to come join us, so I asked the front desk if it...More

Located on Canal Street at the edge of the French Quarter, this hotel very different in decor and theme, but it works. Staff is extremely friendly and rooms are good. If you can capture a good rate this is a superb choice. There is a...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

There is valet parking available, which can be a bit pricey. Honestly, if you don't have to have a car with you, I wouldn't. The hotel is located about two blocks from Bourbon Street (about a 5 min walk, if that) and also very close to other tourist spots (like Jackson Square, Garden District, etc.) You can always uber/lyft to places for a cheaper price than the valet parking price.
