This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. The 1st was when I was in New Orleans for business. This stay was with my husband for an anniversary celebration. We usually don't choose to stay on Canal street because Canal is so busy and has...More
We liked this hotel: very helpful, attentive staff (although they did drop the ball the day after Mardi Gras leaving us waiting for a ride at the airport--but worked hard to make up for the omission.) Dark mysteriously lit halls and rumors of a suite...More
This hotel is a little out of place at the edge of the french quarter. It doesn't have any of the pretty balconies or courtyards of the other hotels nearby.
- clean, very large room (we had a king bed) with comfy bed.
We went for Mardi Gras and I couldn't figure out why the bar was empty when every other bar in town was packed. Then we went for a drink and our server Lacy was too busy (with the ONLY patron at the entire bar) to...More

The room was spacious, modern, clean with a cofortable bed, high water pressure and modern amenities including a Keurig coffee maker.
The entire staff presented professionally and was perfectly accomodating include retrieving our car from a few blocks away due to Madri Gras parade traffic!...More
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

There is valet parking available, which can be a bit pricey. Honestly, if you don't have to have a car with you, I wouldn't. The hotel is located about two blocks from Bourbon Street (about a 5 min walk, if that) and also very close to other tourist spots (like Jackson Square, Garden District, etc.) You can always uber/lyft to places for a cheaper price than the valet parking price.
