We stayed here for our Thurs - Sun girls getaway. I was very impressed with this hotel - amenities were very nice (helpful turndown service, concierge who helped us book a swamp tour, transportation, and help with storing our bags). The rooms were a nice...More
This place was amazing from the minute we got to the doors to the the lobby with the pool tables and the bar. The room we stayed on was beautiful, clean and cozy. To the staff that were very helpful. Definitely would come back sooner...More
Visiting our 28th Jazz Fest, stayed in nearly every hotel in the Quarter and our friend wanted to try this one. Here we go...The front door staff seemed more interested in talking to themselves than...you know. The front desk people were friendly and pretty efficient....More

As one of Marriott's Autograph hotels, you expect a clean facility with courteous staff plus comfort in your room, and usually get precisely that. This hotel was certainly clean, but the room was very comfortable in both design, physical layout AND comfortable seating (cannot stress...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

There is valet parking available, which can be a bit pricey. Honestly, if you don't have to have a car with you, I wouldn't. The hotel is located about two blocks from Bourbon Street (about a 5 min walk, if that) and also very close to other tourist spots (like Jackson Square, Garden District, etc.) You can always uber/lyft to places for a cheaper price than the valet parking price.
