I stayed 4 nights at this lovely Inn. Delightful, welcoming hosts, very comfortable and quiet room, terrific location - not in the French Quarter (thank heavens) but close enough to walk. Delicious breakfast, sweet dog. I would definitely re-book next time I'm in NOLA.

Stayed here several times and it is just like going home! Amazing hosts, gorgeous comfortable Inn, perfect location. Now just read the other 5 million reviews. Or not. See you at Mardi Gras....or Fest, or anytime, at the Inn. Right next to the new street car line, too !!!!!!! PS: Skip the Airbnb....This place doesn't even raise their rates for...

We stayed at Elysian Fields Inn over New Years and it was a wonderful experience. The Inn is gorgeous and the rooms are very well appointed. There was nothing else I could have asked for. We had our own bathroom and also a nice flat screen tv, which I wasn't expecting. It was definitely more luxurious than many other B&B's...

We had a great stay at this B&B. Bob and Michelle were excellent host. We were upgraded to the large suite do to ongoing renovations, the room was fantastic, with a large sitting area and bedroom. The room was well equipped including black out curtains, and fans if you were too hot or needed the white noise. We were concerned...

My husband and I stayed at this charming inn for 3 nights recently. It was a delight from beginning to end. Location is outstanding - easy navigating right off the interstate with no turns, and abutting the music district of the Marigny. There is a security gate, so we felt safe there. The inn is very tidy, and better hosts...

This is our second time to stay at Elysian Fields, However the first time since Michelle and Bob have taken over the Inn! Michelle and Bob are both lovely people and we felt welcomed the second we walked in the door!! We stayed in the same room, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as it had been painted and...

My wife and I along with several of our friends spent the Halloween weekend in New Orleans. We stayed at the Elysian Fields bed and breakfast. For several of us it was our second time staying there, but the first time with the current owners. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well decorated. Everything in the rooms and bathrooms worked...

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Elysian Fields Inn! Michelle - who owns and runs the place since a year now - is the heart and soul of the Inn! Her good mood, positive attitude and her making sure that her guests are well taken care of made our stay very enjoyable. Michelle makes great breakfast. She also has...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
