Overall very good, will recommend the Andrew Jackson hotel. Excellent location. Don't expect a buffet breakfast, rather coffee and croissant. Nobody to assist you with your luggage up the steep stairs.

Charming place within walking distance of popular French Quarter restaurants and sites of interest! European flair. My small second floor room was comfortable, clean, quaint. Staff was helpful with suggestions of places to eat within walking distance. I felt safe as a solo female traveler.

At the Andrew Jackson, it's all about location! On Royal, one street over from Bourbon, it's close to the party, but much quieter. It's a cute historic hotel with all the New Orleans charm. Don't expect it to be new and modern and you won't be disappointed. The rooms are a little small. There is no elevator and the stairs...

the location takes it..doesn't get any better than royal street. This is a jewel in the middle of the french quarter. The staff leave you alone and the room is clean. It is cute and some updates, but maintains alot of old world charm. If you are looking for a slick place with all of the ameneties this is not...

Great location! Close enough to be within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter but tucked away enough to not hear the noise from Bourbon street all night. The courtyard was a great spot to wind down after a long day out and around. All of the staff were really great. Marisa at the front desk was nice and...

What a beautiful place the Andrew Jackson was to stay! The staff were so friendly, the rooms are great and there is even a cat that lives there. The hotel is in the perfect location and surprisingly not at all noisy considering where it is. Would definitely stay there again, have nothing negative to say about it. Thanks for a...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
