The visit was arranged through my sisters timeshare. It was a 3 bedroom unit in what they called the annex. It was about 1/2 block down from the main facility. For me, the positives were: Within walking distance of the french quarter, riverwalk and trolley...More
The reception staff was of mixed quality. Two of them were very friendly and helpful. Two of them had opposite characteristics. The suite was spacious and well furnished, but had no windows. Although I would have liked windows, I could survive without them, since I...More
I will give two stars for location and a nice staff. It is not as advertised.
There is no pool. There is a dirty puddle that no one in their right mind would stick their toe in. The place was clean enough and I saw...More
I stayed at Hotel De L’Eau Vive through a time share for a week - It was a nice experience with a very friendly and helpful staff, a great location within walking distance to tons of good restaurants and the French Quarter, and was overall...More
As a timeshare hotel, the experience is a little different than in a normal hotel. The unit was spacious, with full kitchen amenities (although who wants to cook when so many good restaurants are close by?) The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were...More
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Overall the best thing is location. Otherwise not much good about it. They advertise a pool but it is a dirty small puddle no sane person would put their toe in. the elevator broke down and we were on the fourth floor.

As far as floors, there is an elevator. It's a little slow but it works. With all of the brick, it was pretty quiet as far as rooms around and over us. The only small noise problem was that some people in the courtyard were listening to music a little late, but they stopped once asked.
