Our party of four stayed three nights in the Basetti room. It was great! There are two separate rooms (with a door separating them), one with a Queen bed and one with a daybed that has a trundle bed. There is one bathroom that has a clawfoot tub/shower in it and a balcony, which we all enjoyed very much. We...

My friend booked this room and invited us to come along for 3 nights over Good Friday weekend. I loved the location on Magazine Street. The room (Bassetti) was perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. My daughter and I shared the trundle bed; it was comfortable. We loved having the upstairs balcony overlooking Magazine Street. The pastries and coffee...

Garden District Bed and Breakfast was just perfect for our visit to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. It is a traditional house in the very safe and chic neighbourhood of the Garden District. Convenient for local restaurants and shops, easy to get to the French Quarter - by bus or street car; it is also possible to walk to the...

Garden B & B was very quite and relaxing way for me to start my vacation in NOLA. The location was perfect. A short walk either to the right or left of the front door for shops, cafes, restaurants, public transportation, fuel, drug stores. Room was very comfortable and refrigerator stocked with juice, milk, water. Morning pastries, fresh fruit, coffee...

My Girlfriend and I took a weekend off in New Orleans in January of 2017. After searching through Chase's Ultimate Rewards portal, I found this awesome B&B. I was apprehensive at first because we usually opt for hotels but this place was PERFECT for us. Clean, comfortable, homey, perfectly located to walking distance bars and an $8-$10 Uber ride from...

All I can say is WOW! I would choose the Garden District Bed and Breakfast in the Garden District of New Orleans again in a heartbeat. Charming old home with high ceilings and plenty of room to spread out. Raynell & Luis are both very amazing people and I cannot wait to see them again. Raynell makes sure you are...

This was my 6th annual stay and it just gets better each year. My family loves staying at the Garden District Bed and Breakfast. We told Raynell (the owner) ahead of time that we loved her banana bread and she surprised us with a whole loaf upon checking in. We had everything we needed for a perfect family weekend. This...

My wife and I just spent 4 nights at the Garden District B&B (10/16-10/20 2016). We stayed here based upon the recommendation of a friend who lives in the Garden District. We stayed in the Rose Room which is the smallest of the 4 rooms that they have. There was nothing ‘small’ about this space at all. We had a...

Nice B & B near the Garden District in New Orleans. Make sure to stay in a room in the main part of the original house. Easy to get downtown on the St. Charles streetcar. The house is lovely and employees were very helpful, giving us a ride to a restaurant when we were tight on a reservation.

I stayed here for 3 nights in September. It was my first time in New Orleans (loved it!!) as well as my first time staying in a bed & breakfast, and this place did not disappoint. If you want a modern hotel in the middle of the chaos, go downtown. If you want affordable charm in a clean and quiet...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
