The price was reasonable and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Right on Magazine Street so it is close to restaurants and public transportation. Close to the Mansions in the Garden District and a cemetery. The rooms have kitchenettes which proved to be convenient. I would defiantly stay here again.

We stayed for a week, what a great place at a great price. It is close enough for a quick streetcar or bus ride into the French Quarter but also a good distance away from the bars and clubs meaning it was quiet. Using this B&B as a base and renting a car (GPS a very good idea) was great...

My daughter and I stayed a weekend in June 2014. Our room was perfect for relaxing. Had a private courtyard and a private screened in porch. Everything was well maintained and clean. Beautiful home with friendly owners. The inn is on magazine street where there is plenty of free parking. Safe. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the area...

I just returned from a trip to New Orleans, where I stayed the week at the Garden District B&B. I am so glad that we decided to stay there. The B&B was perfectly situated in the Garden District, less than a block from the bus line that takes you to the French Quarter. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very...

First time in NOLA. Wonderful base to explore the Quarter and beyond. Located in a tree lined neighborly street, 2 miles from the French Quarter. We stayed in the Rose room which was quiet, clean and comfortable. We also had the Patio Room booked. The rooms had a kitchenette area. They warned that hot water in shower could take up...

We got into New Orleans just before the ice storm closed the city down, it was great to have a sitting room and to be in the Garden district. Our hostess, Raynell was very friendly and provided a wealth of information. Numerous great restaurant choices are within walking distance, including the well known Commanders Palace. Breakfast was perfect, we had...

This was our second stay at this bed and breakfast. We find the location excellent for touring the city. It is away from the rush of the French Quarter but has good public transportation and many restaurant choices nearby. We stayed in the patio room both times and enjoy the space and the back porch. The room is comfortable and...

My husband and I have stayed several times at the Garden District B&B, which just happens to be very close to where our family in New Orleans lives. Over the past few years we have stayed in three of the wonderful units. We are not fancy folks who must have every conceivable luxury, but I realize that some travelers require...

Great location and comfy rooms. We all enjoyed this small B&B. Each of rooms had 2 rooms. Two of my friends shared a reservation, but still had rooms to themselves. Super clean. The breakfast is continental which suited us. We could grab yogurt, toast, bagels, coffee and go! There is plentiful street parking. Raynell gave us great suggestions for nearby...

I stayed upstairs in the Rose Room and in all honestly I expected the room to be quite small from the pictures but they don't really do it justice. I found the room rather sizeable and was surprised to find out that I had my own kitchen area too. I loved this, it really made it feel like a home...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
