This place was very relaxing and offered nice rooms with a nice breakfast in the morning and a great host. The host was very helpful and so were the staff and it made for a very nice stay on New Orleans. The pool was nice...More
I arrived during 4th of July weekend and the Essence Festival. It was the cheapest (still $165 a night) and closest spot to the French Quarter that I could find. It was a pleasant surprise. I was greeted at my car and helped with my...More
When we first walked up to the Lions Inn, we encountered two women who had just checked out. "Have you seen the garden yet?" they asked. "It's paradise." We rang the bell. Ed, the charming, low-key owner, showed us to our room, right off the...More
This is the third time I have stayed at Lions Inn. Ed and the staff always make me feel welcomed. Ed and staff do a great job of keeping the place clean and inviting. The breakfast in the morning is always ample. The pool area...More
I cannot say enough good things about the Lions Inn. First of all, the website photos do not do it justice. From the quaint rooms, to the beautiful pool, I can’t express how lovely the whole place is. The innkeeper, Ed, has got to be...More

Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
Yes, has anyone had an issue sharing a bathroom? I've stayed in B&B's before but am considering the lucrative budget option of sharing.

We shared a bathroom while there. Not a problem at all - there was a gentleman in another room that shared but was only there one day and we never crossed paths. Actually, a couple of rooms with private bathrooms had the bathroom outside their room anyway. I would use shared on next visit again. Loved it there
