When we go to New Orleans, we spend little time in our room. We get up, get out and crash at the end of the day. The Creole Inn is perfect for us! It is like staying in your friends extra bedroom, nothing fancy, but clean and AFFORDABLE! Within walking distance of the things we want to do. Kim and...

I truly love The Creole Inn, and have frequented this place non-stop for years! The Creole Inn is a place I call as "home", and has become "a God sent gift" as a result of regular visits to the city. When visiting New Orleans, I want to feel like "a New Orleanian" and live like the locals, rather than staying...

As most the other reviews make clear, Creole Inn is a very minimalistic hotel, which we understood up front. Given that, the Creole Inn provided more amenities than I would have expected; there was a hair drier, a small TV, a mini fridge, high quality toilet paper, and coffee and tea every morning. The location is wonderful- within a couple blocks...

We would like to first thank you for staying with us. We would also like to thank you for signing the sheet upon arrival that stated you agreed that the room was clean and did not need any further cleaning. We take great pride in being clean and a military family and this is why we have all of our...

I find myself drawn to this place every time I come to NOLA. It's an old, sorta rough-around-the-edges place, but you can't beat the location, the price, or the hosts (Kim and Charlie). My daughter and I stayed in the Old Europe suite this time. It's on the first floor, with direct access to the back patio. Construction on the...

We loved it... First off, read their website. This is a bare essentials guest house. It's an updated two story house with en suite bedrooms, 3 up and 1 down. Our room was clean and cozy, the bed comfy and the bathroom satisfied my wife. There is a mini-fridge, stock it yourself. Coffee, tea, a computer (with wifi) and microwave...

I knew what to expect before I got there...and the Creole Inn was not a disappointment at all. It's not fancy, but it was an interesting neighborhood about 8 blocks from the edge of the French Quarter. There were a couple coffee shops and bars within a long block's walk. We were in the Old Europe room, and the bed...

This Halloween Was my second time staying at The Creole Inn. I love this place. Yo can not get better value for your money. Be aware it is a guest house not a bed and breakfast. In such a city you really want to go out and eat everyday anyway! The staff are super friendly and will help you with...

The Creole Inn is a beautiful old house in lovely and safe Marigny. Only a few blocks to Frenchmen Street. Kim and Charley are wonderful hosts that treat you like family. I can't say enough about how kind and helpful they were. We stayed a week at the end of October and we'll be back. We couldn't have had a...

As the web site says, this is not a 5 star hotel, Kim and Charley are helpful inn keepers, our shower had a bit of old mold in the grout, I bought some mildew remover and it went away after a day or two, no big deal, New Orleans is OLD. However I do think it's time for some new...

The Creole Inn is great in every way--price, location, ambience! I stayed here with a work colleague in early October and was impressed with the folks running the establishment, the beautiful building, the location, the ease in booking, the coffee every morning, AND the fantastic price!!! It felt like an upscale hotel without pricing itself like an upscale hotel. I...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
