I stayed at the inn in march 2013 right after my cruise. I had picked the inn because of price and wanted to see new Orleans after our Holliday. Kim and Charlie made it feel like home. They made smores for the kids and even offered us dinner. Kim was very helpful on places we could eat as well thing...

We originally picked this place because it was such a great value. As it turns out, it was also a superb location, authentic feeling, and homey. If you are going to New Orleans and planning to stay out all day, we think this is the absolute best place you could stay. It is 4 blocks from Frenchmen Street and all...

We stayed 6 nights in the Plantation room and one night in the sweet dreams room. The rooms are small, but adequate. Great location just a short mile walk to all the action in the french quarter. Also just a few blocks from Frenchman St. I had no major issues at all during our stay. The room was clean, and...

We stayed in the Memories room in early March and enjoyed our stay. It was a great value for the price. Kim was very welcoming and gave us great tips on places to eat and see. Our bed was very comfortable. The shower is small but was fine for average-sized people. Coffee and tea are provided at all hours. Our...

My best friend and I stayed at the Creole Inn for four nights. It was great! It is quite rustic, but it kind of felt like I was staying with my grandma, which is a good thing! It was about a 30 minute walk to the French Quarter (right in the middle). Between the Inn and the FQ is Frenchmen...

good location, just far enough away from the quarter that we could get away, but close enough we didn't need a taxi. rooms were tidy. Charlie and Kim,the innkeepers, rocked. safe safe safe has a private courtyard in back that is sweet. I enjoyed the rooms not being cookie cutter rooms, they remind me of someones spare bedroom, in a...

What a great find! The price was an initial attraction for the overnight, but we did not expect such a great, clean, homey place, and with Kim and Charlie so helpful for any need you could imagine! These folks have heart and knowledge. Frenchman St with music and food is really "happening" and very nearby...such a better spot than Bourbon...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
